Sturdy
The plastic switch that opens the engine hatch on my boat disintegrated after a few years. I purchased this on-off-on switch and was immediately impressed with the way it was built, all metal. It was advertised as 120 volt but I needed it for a 12 volt system, no problem, it works perfectly and looks like it will give me great service for a few more years.

Nice but you have to find high current connectors to screw on
Perfect for my boat lift up/down off control. High current application requires sturdy connections. I first tried horseshoe type but they slipped off as the screw was tightened down. Then circular wire terminators would stay on but I had a little trouble finding high current version with diameter small enough. The ones I found had small sleeves so I had to reduce the high current wire size to solder them into the sleeves.

Great replacement!
This piece worked like a charm! We weren't sure where the problem was for sure. We started with this piece since it was inexpensive and now it works perfectly. Highly recommended.

super easy replacement
My switch for my boats engine hatch lifts died on me. Bought this one, super easy replacement. I love the screwed down terminals for the wires wont come off during rough water. Looks and feel solid... Great switch....

Action is a little stiff
It is an OK switch. I would prefer a smoother action than what this has. It is very stiff and while it is momentary like it says it is almost like a regular click to engage. Only difference is it does snap back when released. If the smooth action is not an issue for your application then this should work just fine.
