CHOCOLATE MALT YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED. YUMMY! SO EASY PROTIEN
NO CHALKINESS WHEN IT COMES TO THIS CHOCOLATY DRINK. I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY BOYFRIEND INSTEAD OF A REGULAR SUGAR CHOCOLATE MIX. THE QUALITY IS FRESH NOT OVERPOWERING CHOCOLATE FLAVOR. DISSOLVES QUICKLY, EASILY. PROTIEN IS A JUST NEEDED POWERHOUSE. TEXTURE IS SMOOTH TO THIN LIKE CHOCOLATE MILK. LOVE IT! NO STOMACH DISCOMFORT. BUT THEN AGAIN, I DON'T GULP DOWN MY DRINKS. Better than my last choice
So far I am liking this one. I was drinking Premier Protein and adding it to my morning cold brew coffee, but after a while of drinking that I had to switch due to a sucralose sensitivity that caused me to be fatigued and had a funny taste in the back of my throat. Premier also had a funny after taste. I chose this one because it does not contain sucralose and the ingredient list is not as long. While it doesnt have the best taste, its not bad for what it is. I add it to my cold brew and add some creamer and it does not have an after taste. I ordered the liquid cafe mocha flavor as well but this one shipped faster.

Good in a shake
Great taste, a bit to gritty for me personally. Did try it in an ice cream shake and was pretty good. Easy to use.

I rated this five stars BUT would like to elaborate
I rated this five stars BUT would like to elaborate. First off, I have ordered this shake several times from Amazon and it's been between $25-35. This last time I went to order and it was $117!!! I sent a message since there is NO way anyone would pay that much for this shake and then continued to check Amazon for a price change. Once I saw the price was back to normal, I ordered it. I love like the flavor and the fact that it is not whey protein plus it dissolves quickly and is not chalky. I also buy their premade shakes from Sprouts. When I placed my order on 5/4/18 it was supposed to be 2 day prime but the estimated arrival date was not until 5/21/18! Then I get an email saying good news your item will arrive early on 5/16/18 and that was still over a week out. In the end it got there in less than a week. Perhaps this was just a glitch. However, aggravating none the less. Now to the final part of my review. I made my shake (I make it with 8 oz rice milk and 2 oz water) and immediately noticed a change in taste. And not for the better. It was a little more sweet. I dug my old container out of the recycle bin to compare ingredients and sure enough this "new formula" now has Maltodextrin. Why??? More sugar. There are already 2 sweeteners in it (cane sugar and stevia)!! No thanks. So, needless to say this purchase has been the least pleasant and seamless. And now I am not sure I will continue to buy this brand. The premade shakes do not have maltodextrin in them. At least the ones in my pantry do not. They may be changing that formula too. Hope this helps!

It ok
Kinda sad about this one. I have been drinking the individual bottles of this RELIGIOUSLY because I loved the flavor and ease of grab & go- but they were expensive as hell, especially when I’m drinking one 5-6 days out of the week after the gym. So I figured I’d save money and buy the powder. Utterly disappointed because it taste so awful compared to the individual drinks. It has a chalky taste for sure, and its no where near as chocolately as the individuals. I even mix it with Oatmilk and it’s still lowkey trash. I can’t fathom mixing with WATER. it’s tolerable tho so ima drink it…but a single tear sheds every time I do because it had such potential.

Tastes great and mixes well
Great tasting protein powder. It mixes well. It Is plant based so great for people with allergies to milk, or people who want to avoid milk.

Super chocolatey, great value
I typically say there’s no such thing as too much chocolate, but this flavor is like really, really chocolatey. I like it best blended in a smoothie with almond milk and peanut butter! Great value for the money and high quality. I use a smaller scoop than the one provided, just personal preference to make the flavor a little less and make the mix last longer. Great way to increase your protein or use as a breakfast/lunch/post work out meal.

So disappointing and not an adequate substitute for the premixed shakes
I have had the premixed double chocolate shakes for a couple of years but they’ve disappeared from planet earth apparently. I figured I’d try this. My first clue it would be bad should have been the color. Whereas the shakes look chocolaty, the powder looks gray. I mixed it with the recommended amount of water - less volume than the shakes and more calories - and about a cup of frozen cherries. Second clue- even with frozen fruit it was the consistency of water, not thick at all. And it doesn’t taste remotely chocolaty just like a bunch of artificial flavors and sweetener. The most maddening thing is nobody at Evolve will acknowledge the shakes have disappeared from the market entirely. They act like it’s widely available when you ask, even though it’s been sold out on Amazon and literally everywhere since December.
