Piece of red plastic. Alright quality for the price.
Probably pretty good, but I didn't get a chance to use it. It's a piece of plastic that goes over your GoPro lens and is able toI initially ordered the incorrect size (options really need to be updated in more simplistic terminology. "NO *DIVE* HOUSING" would have been more appropriate, they aren't speaking of the OEM 'shell' case that you'd likely be using with the Hero 5 Black) Anyway, that one was sent back and the correct one ordered immediately for my trip to the Bahamas. Unfortunately, I had to leave for my cruise ship on the day that the correct one was slated to arrive and the shipment didn't come in time. It came in right as we were boarding our ship. Womp..The filter seems to fit alright on the GoPro Hero 5, just a piece of red tinted plastic, really that snaps on over the plastic lens cover. There isn't a lot to say about it. How well does it work versus the more expensive glass offerings? Honestly I couldn't say, but unless you're REALLY going for it with a GoPro (and if you're serious about videography I would imagine you wouldn't really be investing in the GoPro platform on that level anyway), it won't matter that much in the end. For $8 and change, I'm willing to just let this purchase go and forget it ever happened. It's not going to be of much use in a pool for instance.. Maybe I'll use it someday in the future on another journey but until then it will sit in a drawer.

Helps bring back the colors underwater.
Fit the housing as expected and improves the color of the recording underwater. Keep in mind that below 30' to 40' or so no matter the filter light just is not penetrating and you will need external light sources. I haven't had the chance to dive anywhere worth taking photos with it yet, but this spring I will try to add comparison pictures.
