ALLWAY CT31 3-in-1 Caulk Tool for Removal and Application

This tool works exactly as described. I recently had multiple caulking projects including a kitchen sink with a lot of old moldy caulk, toilet, and standing shower. All involved removal of old caulk before applying the new. This tool was incredibly helpful in the removal process and definitely saved me time. I also appreciated that the tool is a safer approach to caulk removal because you can firmly grip the handle without your hands needing to be close to any sharp edges. The tool is well made and sturdy and can handle being used in multiple projects. Having removed caulk previously with just utility knife, I can say this tool is the way to go and a great value.

The ALLWAY CT31 does exactly what it claims. The scraper makes removing old caulk a lot less painful, and the smoothing edge helps lay down a clean, even bead without making a mess. It’s lightweight, easy to handle, and way more convenient than trying to do everything with a finger or a random plastic card. For a simple, inexpensive tool, it really does make the whole caulking process faster and cleaner.

Purchased this to aid in running beads of white caulk between baseboard trim and the wall. We needed a nice, clean, 1/8" bead to be spread continuously over several feet while maintaining the bead width and without leaving any gaps between the top of the trim piece and the wall. This tool was able to do that comfortably. We first tested the three different bead widths on some scrap materials before applying directly to the project. The handle is comfortable to hold, it is very stiff, and allowed us to put consistent pressure on the bead of caulk throughout the length of the trim pieces. We did not use the other parts (scraper and cutter) so I cannot speak to that aspect. I can say though that the upward facing scraper did slightly get in the way on some longer runs (bumped into my forearm while pulling the bead of caulk). My opinion is that it would be better designed as a 2-in-1 tool and remove the upward facing scraper, hence 4 stars instead of 5. Overall though, did the job and did it well.

Made caulking my shower a breeze. The removal tool worked very well and did not damage the tub. When re-caulking, the tool had multiple size options, and the caulk did not stick to it, which made smoothing much easier!!

It isn't clear why this is called a 3 in 1 tool as it seems to have only two functions. It removes SOME of the old caulk and then smooths the new caulk. The fixed and non-replaceable cutting blade is rather wide so it does not get deep into the gap between tiles. In trying to get it to get more (enough) of the old caulk I applied too much pressure resulting in scaring the top of the tub. I had hoped the tool would allow one to remove all the caulk by digging deep into the tile gap. I had to resort to using a small screwdriver for that important function. The second function for the tool is to smooth the new caulk. This entails using a rubber foot which has 3, yes 3, different angles. My guess is that this is the 3 in 3 in 1. The smoothing tool works almost as well as a wet finger but saves you from the horror of having caulk on your finger. :-) I was not able to get the cute smooth tool to get a good curve in the corners so resorted to using my finger and finally just went back to finger everywhere which was faster and easier to control - for me anyway. This is a typical Chinese product with very little useful information about usage. The usage information is in the attached image. The construction of the tool is good. It would have been better if the cutting blade angle was more acute so the blae would go into the tile gaps.

The ALLWAY CT31 3-in-1 Caulk Tool has been a fantastic addition to my DIY toolkit. It doesn’t strain my hand, which is a huge plus considering how tedious caulking can be. The built-in silicone smoother works wonders, leaving a professional-looking finish every time. One minor downside I noticed is that the plastic scraper isn't as effective on tougher, older caulk. However, using a bit of extra elbow grease usually does the trick. This tool has really streamlined my caulking projects, saving me time and effort. Whether I'm redoing the bathroom sealant or touching up the kitchen, the ALLWAY CT31 3-in-1 Caulk Tool has proven to be incredibly handy and efficient.

This little thing put in BIG work! I’ve had the hardest time with sealing around the bathtub so it was a mess of both traditional caulk and flex seal 😵‍💫😭 it become funky and I could not get all the old off, ordered this thing as well as some acetone. Soaked a cotton ball in the acetone and ran it around where the old nasty caulk and flex seal were, and this little tool worked flawlessly to remove it!

Super useful tool for prep, contouring and clean up. Only complaint is the scraper is a bit soft and damages quickly. Would 100% purchase again.

This tool is genius for recaulking - it strips off the old and smooths out the new. Makes application so much easier!
