I am able to lay in bed and use this. It is very comfortable. The massage itself feels like a person is giving me a deep tissue massage! Be careful where you position the massager bc i could do damage to areas with little to no muscle but overall I am extremely happy! Its like having the missing part to my massgae chair (b/c my massage chair is too light in the neck area). Heat works great but can get hot if longer than 15 min of use. Instructions state to ensure to unplug when not in use. Im paraphrasing but I am very vigilant to be sure i unplug when not using - to be on the safe side. Worth the price and then some!! Havent tried on my arms or legs bc no pain there yet.. but i imagine it would feel great! Great for relief of tension headaches too! Remote feels cheap so recommendation is to take it slow with the buttons dont push too many too quickly. I did have it freeze on me bc i was too excited to get relief.

My husband and I use this daily. The kneading balls and the heat relax our upper and lower back. Easy to fall asleep while using. Can press your back into it for a deep tissue massage. High quality and great value for the money

Works well, glad I got something to help in my back shoulders but on its side it will get one shoulder at a time well

This product doesn't disappoint! It actually works as I anticipated. You can use it for your lower back or flip it upside down and use it for your neck and shoulders. There are a few different settings to choose from to make it more comfortable for you. If the heat is on high for too long it won't turn back on until it is cooled down enough to do so.

While trying to remain sensitive to everyone’s feelings. - Massage unit not recommended for manual working people. The unit is not strong enough to massage my back without stopping and needing a break. -The lettering on the controller requires me to apply my readers to visualize the wording. - The unit can be used will driving, but the same issue of the unit stopping and having to wait 30+ minutes to restart. -Not recommended for people with PTSD, this unit made me very uncomfortable. Received my replacement item and guess what? The same thing happened, it starts out working fine but after a week of use, the same problem appeared in the replacement item. I wish they had-***** stars. This is not made for hard working people unless you are a very slim person without bulging muscles.

Maybe I am not realistic. I haven't yet tried a massager yet that I feel I can use occasionally because the ball bearing inside hurts the hell out of my neck and body. I returned mine afterwards and wouldn't buy anything like this again! If I am being reasonable, I don't think it maybe the problem for this particular product, but the designing for these things are just not well thought out! This is NOT a pillow!
