Great backlit lighting for our new 85" Sony TV!
Worked out nicely with our newly installed 85" Sony TV. Easy DIY: Peel and stick onto the back edge of TV. Plug for Light Test, then Cut excess between copper line. Plug to power and change color using remote. It's too bad the remote is not RF; thus, color changing and powering on/off does require in sight control.

Fit perfectly around my TV unit
I placed these lights around my TV unit instead of my actual TV. It stuck well to my ikea particular board unit, and reached all the way around perfectly. It's just bright enough for my needs, and the color options are beautiful.

Decent value
Solid four stars. There was plenty to go around my 86” tv. No broken lights or oddball ones in the whole strip. Only things that knock it down a peg is the brightness could be better and the modes are wayyy too fast. A slower one would have been nice.

Disappointed after two weeks.
The good: The Maylit backlight kit was easy to install and adhesion seems to be adequate so far. Many reviews complained about a lack of brightness but my kit is plenty bright… so far. The bad: After only a few days of use, the “Main” LED strip color/tone/hue has changed and now greatly differs from the other 3 “Sub” strips. The difference is most prominent on the white setting such that the 3 sub strips offer a consistent white light, but the main strip gives off a purple/blue hue that looks horribly uneven, almost as if the main strip was a different model or production run from its sub strips. And to preempt any nonsensical corporate troll replies; yes trolls, the lights were properly installed, properly connected, and even tested for several hours before wall-mounting the TV. The problem is poor quality control and/or sloppy manufacturing that has become so typical these days. I would not recommend this product under any circumstance.

Plug in gets hot. They turn on randomly.
Return window closed :0(. Had to toss. Plug got really hot. They also turned in randomly. Too dangerous.
