Great Hikvision OEM camera!
I have had a mix of cameras in my setup over the years, from some old Foscams, a few POE Amcrests (which is a re-branded Dahua), OEM Dahuas, and now these Hykamic 2.8mm (which is a re-branded Hikvision DS-2CD2442FWD-IW camera). Hikvision, and Dahua, make some of the best network cameras at reasonable prices, and I primarily stick with them for my setup. I use Blue Iris as my NVR.This Hykamic camera is fairly compact for all the features you get, being a little bigger/thicker than the size of a deck of playing cards. It boots up fairly quick, and you can either access it through a web interface (if you know the IP address), or via the IVMS software you can download from Hikvision. (I believe Hykamic also provides a way through a phone app, but I didn't look into it.) I usually use the IVMS software for setup of new Hikvision cameras, as well as to upgrade the firmware of the cameras. This Hykamic was no different, and easily accepted official Hikvision firmware updates. (Though I do see Hykamic does also have some firmware updates on their support site.) Whether you want to install Hykamic's or Hikvision's firmware, you will want to make sure you are on at least version 5.4.5 to patch some vulnerabilities identified not too long ago.The viewing angle of the 2.8mm lens was what I needed, the POE capability is a great feature (it does come with a power adapter as well), and the PIR is a nice added bonus. This camera also has wireless capabilities, but only on 2.4GHz. I wish more wireless cameras would include 5GHz capabilities. I do wish it would be possible to disable the 3 LED status lights.

Great inexpensive camera with easy setup
Great camera and easy setup. Using the SADP program I setup the password, IP address, port etc in under a minute. And I had it working in my Blue Iris Software only a few minutes later. Just like my previous 3MP cameras(Hikvision brand)it was just as easy to setup. So far it has been working great. I'll try it out for a few days before deciding whether to order a few more.EDIT: I picked up second one and it's working great like the first one. Same easy setup. Now to get a third one sometime soon.I only wish I could replace all my 3MP Hikvisions. This 4MP camera has excellent low light capability. But that would be too expensive to replace my ten 3MP cameras. So the three areas that I need low light capability the most, is where the 4MP cameras go. I can't use IR for the cameras pointed outside, since my windows will reflect it all. So I make sure the IR light is turned off and it goes into night mode when it gets dark enough. And because they have great low light capability, I can still see everything.EDIT: The third camera is working just as great as the first two. This camera is a great deal for the price.

Great multi-function camera that works very well
Within 5 minutes of taking this out of the box, I was viewing a live video stream to my web browser. I normally use Chrome, but from past experience, I have found that the browser add-on's necessary for live video from these types of cameras, tend to be more compatible with good old Internet Explorer, so that is what I used in this case.I plugged this into my POE compatible switch, then did a quick check on my routers DHCP configuration page to see what IP address was assigned to it. I then entered that IP address into IE and was immediately connected to the camera's login page. Be very careful when logging in for the first time because if you forget the initial password you set it is very difficult to recover (I had to throw a Hikvision camera away once because I couldn't recover the forgotten password). Once successfully logged in, configuration is pretty straight forward. You can set the video quality, motion events, date & time settings, etc.I like the flexibility this camera has to be used in several different configurations. If you have a POE switch, plug it in and you are done. If you have a switch, but it isn't POE, you can still use an ethernet cable, just use a 12V power brick. If it isn't near a switch at all, just use the 12 power brick and connect via WiFi. No switch or WiFi? just plug in an SDCard and start recording to that. It also has the ability to record audio.Picture quality is good and 4.0 Megapixels is about as high a resolution as you can expect for a camera in this price range. Overall, I am very satisfied with this camera.

I like the PIR over standard motion detection and the IR ...
I purchased this camera because i've used the older 3mp model before. I like the PIR over standard motion detection and the IR is a single large output which does better for my purposes. The built-in Mic isn't bad but isn't meant to pickup subtle audio throughout the room, however, its perfect for entry door use or desk use (for buzzing in guests or for face to face interviews). I currently have an old one being used via PoE and ethernet cable while this new one is on WiFi and hasn't had any disconnect isues since I plugged it in and set it up. I'm using anONVIF compatible NVR so the setup was manual and pretty straightforward. I did login directly to the camera to setup my WDR and brightness settings as well as the initial WiFi setup. If you haven't handled an IP camera before, things could be a little difficult but for someone who has worked with them before, I had this thing setup in under 8 mins.

Great Camera and Excellent Support!!!
Great overall camera and quality, however, after about 4 months the camera stopped working, but I reached out to the seller and they sent me a replacement very quickly. I would highly recommend this camera for an indoor application. It has a very clear image and it looks good day or night. You can definitely see faces very clear during the day.

Great quality & standard setup.
If you're wondering if this is a white labeled OEM camera, it is. Works just fine with the iVMS app on iOS and on the computer. You do need to adjust the main stream to "Video and Audio" in order to get audio working. Wifi appears unfortunately to be 2.4ghz only - not a big deal at this price point. Camera appears to be set up to use DHCP for an IP address right out of the box, no need to mess with setting a static IP to get it set up.
