Remarkably easy to use!
This little appliance is perfect for yogurt making! At first I thought I had made a mistake buying it. After all, it doesn't have any buttons or gauges, just an on/off light. But here's what you do... In a separate container heat up 2-3 cups of milk to 200°, then let it cool down to 135° (about 25 minutes). Then add your live freeze-dried cultures, put it into the yogurt maker, and plug it in. Let it sit for anywhere from 6 to 12 hours depending on how thick and tangy you want it to be. That's it! Add whatever flavors, fruit, and sweeteners you want. I am very satisfied with the quality of yogurt I got from this little yogurt maker.

Great for plain yogurt.
This device worked well to make plain yogurt. I like extra sour yogurt so this worked well to make it.

So simple to use!
Makes great yogurt with very little effort. The instructions with photos are easy to use. I've made the Dr Davis L reuteri yogurt with half and half that ferments for 36 hours and it came out so thick and fluffy and delicious (although the smell of the first batch while still warm was off-putting, it was fine after a few hours in the fridge) I've also made 30 hour yogurt with Fairlife whole milk and it was thick and delicious too. Fermenting longer than the directions say makes for a much thicker product with more probiotics, so don't be afraid to ferment as long as 24-36 hours if you like a Greek style thicker yogurt. I'm taking off one star for the fact that there is no temperature control and the flimsy lid. Other than that, I am very happy with the yogurt that this little machine produces.

Don't buy it
Sending this back. It did not work. It did not even heat up. I wound up with lukewarm milk. Very disappointed. Waste of milk

The JoyMech yogurt could not be easier to use, and it produces a rich, creamy yogurt every time!
This yogurt has it all - and for half the price of the others I've looked at! When it first arrived, I thought the instruction manual must be missing: it was just a folded up sheet! I thought there had to be more that was missing, but this little machine is so easy to use; after pouring (UNHEATED!) milk and up to 1 tsp of the packaged culture(not included) into the provided metal canister, you put on the cover and plug it in. Voila! 12 hrs later, you have perfect yogurt. I tried mine with grass-fed whole milk and it was so rich and creamy I didn't need to strain it. I also made soy milk yogurt using West Life organic soy milk, 1 tsp of powdered culture, and 12 hrs later - rich, creamy soy yogurt! I was worried that incubating for 12 hrs would produce a very sour yogurt, but the taste was mild and creamy, with just a slight tanginess to it. This JoyMech yogurt maker is the perfect size for one person - the container holds about 3 1/2 cups of milk. It would definitely be too small for a family of 3 or 4, but for me, a container lasts me about 3 days if I eat the yogurt every day for 1 meal. The metal container is easy to pop into the dishwasher, and, best of all, unlike the Bear yogurt maker that I finally gave up on because of its breakable glass container, the JoyMech metal container is very easy to remove with no possible breakage.

Great price. Simple. Good size.
It works perfectly. Bought it to make homemade natto. It works great. It is simple and large enough to make just the right amount. I’ve had no issues.

It does make yogurt! Just not enough for daily yogurt eaters.
So, I though this machine did everything for you. I poured COLD milk into the bowl and added store bought yogurt for the cultures. It stayed soupy. I wrapped a dish towel around and over it. After 18 hours in the machine and 8 hours in the fridge I had thick and creamy yogurt. I eat yogurt daily! I will be making yogurt every other day with this machine. I am returning this. I will keep going to Costco to buy my yogurt. Maybe if the bowl held more liquid to yield more yogurt I would be interested. Hint. wrap it in a dish towel to retain the heat and keep the machine on for 4-6 hours longer than the recommended 12 hrs. I used Fat Free milk, and a few tables spoons of store-bought Greek yogurt. The taste was good as well. So, it does work! Just more practical to purchase yogurt from the store. JoyMech if you ever make a bigger machine. I would definitely give it a try.

Pure magic for your health
Wonderful and simple little tool. I use it to inoculate Lifeway Keifer (plain) with 4 tablets of biogaia L-reuteri bacteria and 1Tbs inulin for 36hr. It makes my store bought SuperPowerPacked. This knowledge comes to you from me and over a years worth of attempts.

Super petit appareil.
