Lovely guidance book for a starter, with clear instructions and photos.

The book is informative. But the photos are small and print quality is bad looks like pixels and not eye catching or comfortable to look at,not like other dk books with awesome print, it is normal good paper but NOT GLOSSY, as expected from dk it is normal print. The font is very small, I need a magnifying glass to read and understand the fossils. THE size of the book is 13.5×21×2.5 Much SMALLER than shown here. I really miss the glossy print as it was realistic to look at. Also my advice do use video resources from YouTube or other media platforms after reading this book to enhance your understanding of fossils and about how to extract and save them as there are many amateur fossil collectors . If you could make notes from the video maybe you won't even need this book, but I won't it as a handbook to help me out. THE photos are small and because it is not glossy it isn't realistic to the eyes and hard to understand. Hope my review helps

bellissimo libro, splendide illustrazioni da consigliare

I love DK books! They’re so easy to get on with, informative, well written with beautiful photographs. Great beginner books, have really made my journey into fossils much easier! I’m ready for an upgrade now but to something slightly more in-depth but can’t recommend these books enough. Great family friendly pocket guide (well not quite pocket sized but lightweight enough for a rucksack!) Good bit of advice on kit You might need also. All round winner

Manuale eccellente scritto in un inglese semplice e chiaro accessibile anche a chi non è anglofono. Peccato che una possibile traduzione in italiano possiamo soltanto sognarcela. Esiste un piccolo libro in italiano composto in uno stile grafico simile ma è ridotto all'osso.
