Works very well.You still have to maintain it.But a major improvement.

THIS ITEM DOESNT WORK AS DESCRIBED

After using this for a month I had to pop off the top mesh in my bathroom because the device was collecting hair like it’s designed to. I haven’t seen any drain flies pop up through my shower since installing this. And smell-wise no complaints as well. The only thing to note is it drains a bit slower but it’s not a bad trade off.

Went to install this in my basement drain to keep flash flood water from back-flowing into the basement. Without additional modifications, it wouldn’t secure well enough in the drain pipe to keep the pressure from pushing it out. Not useful as a one way check valve for any possibility of hydraulic pressure. Probably works fine for gasses and smells.

Works to keep drain gasses from entering room while letting water out

Guess its my fault but I thought this would block floor drain oders. Slots allow air flow and allow the musty air in .If you fill the little bottom cylinder the top cylinder doesnt reach into the bottom cylinder, so there is no seal for oders. IF you get back flow from floor drain...entire unit just pops right up and out.It does not keep water out.

This saved me so much $! My drain was not properly installed and needed major repair work but this little product solved my horrible smelly issues.

My basement's shower drain does not have a p-trap and especially when air vent was running, there would be a bad smelling air flow coming from the drain. This little thing stopped it completely. Now the bathroom smells soap and shampoo! I am so happy that I have found this simple solution.

Back flow water is not stopping .the size also small

We sued to have recurring sewage smells in our bathroom because the developer did not use the right pipes. With this simple solution, we did not have any bad smell anymore. We tested it for a while now, and it completely changed the bathroom experience. And the price is more than fair! Well done!

Produit en plastique de très faible qualité. L'eau ne s'écoule pas facilement même s'il y a aucun résidu. Je dois diminuer la force du jet d'eau, si non l'eau monte dans le fond de la douche et peut déborder. Où est-il en ce moment? Dans la récupération.Le plastique est très mince, fragile.
