UP Fila Premium ABS 3D Printer Filament, Low Odor, Consistent 1.75mm Diameter,1KG (500g×2 Spools), Yellow

I've been 3D printing for at least the past 5 years and have tested out various filaments including varieties of PLA, ABS, Wood, Metal, PVA, etc. I found ABS one of the more difficult filaments to use until I stumbled on to this particular brand. When I found it on Amazon I was hesitant at first because of my previously failed attempts with ABS but I thought I'd give it a try. Unboxing this filament almost reminded me of unboxing an Apple product. The packaging was very well made and the vacuum seal on the filament was perfect, very professional. I also like that the filament comes in 2 500g spools instead of 1 large 1kg spool because you can leave the other spool in its air tight seal until you are ready to use it. At first I wasn't very impressed because the filament didn't seem to extrude properly and it definitely didn't stick to my print bed. I had my extruder temp set at 230 degrees and my bed temp at 70 degrees. I was using a glue stick to help the material adhere to the platform but nothing seemed to work. I then decided to see if maybe the extrusion temperatures for this filament are different and found out that is exactly what the biggest issue was. The filament was designed to be extruded between 260 and 270 degrees and seems to like a bed temperature of about 100 to 110 degrees which may vary depending on the nozzle size of your extruder, your platform material and various other things such as ambient room temperature. With the new settings the filament printed perfectly. It didn't lift up on the corners and it seemed to extrude at a very consistent thickness. I've attached some pictures, you'll notice that there's some webbing going on but that's because I still need to fine tune my retract settings and may need to dial the temperature on the extruder back a little more. From the resources I could find online, it seems that the filament was designed to be used with their UP printer and I'm assuming that you'd most likely get the best quality from it by using it with their equipment, I may just need to try that out in the future. Overall, this will definitely be my go to ABS filament from now on.

I just open up my package and instead of getting Crystal Sea, I received Natural. I marked three stars because of the inconvenience of not getting the correct color. Granted, I could order it again but that will not fix my time strain situation concerning colored. This makes me concerned when I order Blue and Treetop Green. Overall, the OEM product that came with my printer seems to work very well. I'll provide updates later.

This is great filament, especially when run through a Tiertime printer. I very rarely have fails with this filament.

This is very high quality ABS. I have used several other quality abs filaments and this filament produces the best results. The photos were printed with this filament and smoothed with acetone vapor. This is by far the best ABS filament. High consistency, great for acetone vapor smoothing.

Filament of high quality, consistent diameter and material purity. The matte finish is very nice and easy to paint, not as smelly as other ABS during printing. The overall material performance is excellent, good tensile strength with a small amount of flexibility.

El material presenta un problema en la impresión. Realizo la misma impresión, con el mismo equipo, con la misma configuración, con un filamento de la misma referencia pero diferente color y funciona. Apenas hago el cambio de carrete por el filamento de este proveedor y no funciona!

Once the fillament is printed, the green seems to be more a mint color. Keep that in mind. Otherwise it is great.

Would have been nice if this were green and if it was ABS material, neither was true. What I received was PLA material in a white/natural color. The box was marked Natural PLA, but also had a label different than the manufacturer label that said green and ABS.

I like the fact it stays affixed to the platen during printing. I bought some AMZ ABS filament for the lower price and wasted many prints because it would pull off the platen and warp during a print. I have printed 5 items so far with this UP Fila and had perfect results; results that the AMZ filament can not replicate.

Recomiendo mucho esta marca, se imprime muy bonito el material. Especialmente recomiendo este color negro. Se imprime en un tono mate lo cual hace que las piezas se ven muy bien. Si buscas un negro que quede brilloso, no lo recomiendo.

Fantastic ABS. The yellow is alot less warpy than the black I have been using until now. Really like how easy it is to work with. The price however is at the point it may not be worth it if you can avoid it. It is literally 2-2.5x more expensive than almost any other brand. It does work wonders if you are on the up series but.... eventually you need to draw the line on value for your prints. I will still buy it for the if and when... but slowly migrating away due to the price since I question my sanity with each purchase. XD
