Quality product.

Would recommend product.
Product worked good. Material could have been a bit thicker 3/16”, 1/4” for more filling capacity.

Great for HDPE welding repair....
Welding rod was easy to use with my plastic welder in repairing my plastic tub on my wheelbarrow. Would buy again.

Crack in plastic wheel barrel.
I never knew you could solder plastic. I have a wheel barrel that’s made out of plastic, which had a crack in it. It was holding up, but I didn’t want the crack to increase. I use this plastic rod and a soldering iron and solder the crack. It sealed it up great and have used the wheelbarrow for hauling logs and it still holds.

Leaves a bead in the corner
If you need a really clean joint, this probably isn't your product, but it does seem to make the joint stronger. I ended up having to clean it up with a Dremel tool. So if strength is your priority, this is good stuff. If you need pretty, or a sharp corner, take another route perhaps?

Pricier alternative to having no HDPE scraps laying around.
Had to repair a butchered plastic fuel tank outlet on an ‘88 Porsche 944. I don’t know what happened to it or what part of what was there was someone’s idea of a repair. Either way, it leaked gasoline and was a disaster waiting to happen. With these and a Harbor Freight hot air welder, I recreated a suitable sealing surface and mitigated the leak. So far so good!

Not great for Whitewater (Dagger Kayaks)
I guess it's fine for certain jobs, but specifically for welding with Dagger whitewater kayaks it wasn't the best consistentcy when heated. Ended up cuttung a bit of the back of the cockpit instead
