Performance! Ease of use! Perfect size for the majority of my daily chopping needs. Great for fresh salsa and hummus

Great food chopper
4 cup size, powerful with reversing action. Nicely made and easy to clean. I especially like the reversing blades and that the blade unit is now held in place as you empty the processor cup. Makes a pint of heavy cream into butter in 8 minutes.

Good for small batches
THis is a very handy kitchen appliance. I like it for chopping up apple pieces or onion. It does not take a lot of space on my countertop. However, if the pieces I put into it are too big it does not start to chop them. like the full size Cuisinart food processor does.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU PURCHASE THE CUISINART CORE SERIES 4-CUP PROCESSOR
I purchased the Cuisinart Core Series 4-Cup Chopper/Grinder in March 2024, hoping it would be a reliable kitchen companion. First Impressions The first few uses were satisfactory; the chopper/grinder efficiently handled basic tasks like chopping vegetables and blending dressings. Performance Issues However, my experience took a turn after about two months of use. I had used the chopper/grinder around eight times, primarily for making hummus and salad dressings. During my eighth use, while making hummus, the unit abruptly stopped working. After about a 10-minute break, I tried to restart the unit. It worked for approximately 20 seconds before stopping again. I had to transfer the partially processed ingredients to a blender to finish the recipe. I reached out to Cuisinart customer service. To their credit, they were responsive and sent me a replacement unit. Replacement Unit Woes Unfortunately, the replacement unit also proved disappointing. On its very first use, it stopped processing halfway through the ingredients. I waited another 10 minutes, after which the unit restarted, allowing me to finish the task. This pattern of stopping and starting made the experience incredibly frustrating and time-consuming. Customer Service While I appreciate Cuisinart's prompt response and willingness to send a replacement, the fundamental issue with the product's performance remained unresolved. The issue would appear to be due to overheating, but it never felt warm when it stopped working. Conclusion Given my experience, I would not recommend the Cuisinart Core Series 4-Cup Chopper/Grinder. Consistency and reliability are crucial for kitchen appliances, and this product fell short on both fronts. I got two months of use from the first unit and barely one use from the second unit...that's unacceptable for any appliance, let alone one from Cuisinart. For anyone considering a compact chopper/grinder, I would suggest looking into other options that offer better performance and reliability. That's what I am doing.

Convenient, light weight, compact-ish.
It does the job. I wanted something larger than my Black & Decker Handy Chopper Plus that I 've had for many years and this Cuisinart MCH-4 was my first try. So far it is blending fruit (banana, mandarin orange) with almond milk adequately to add to protein shakes and pureeing cottage cheese for a healthier queso dip. It is noisy but is not noticeably louder than my other chopper. It has a stable base and stays put during use but it does seem to take a little longer to do similar tasks compared to my ole one. While I have had it leak from the top, between the bowl and lid, it is minimal and rare and might be more about learning where the fill limit line is for different ingredients. Assembly and cleaning is simple and easy. The cord storage underneath is a nice touch and functions OK. I do like the compact size as I have limited countertop and cabinet space. While I am already debating buying a larger capacity chopper/grinder, I am using this one almost daily and cannot come up with any reason to not recommended it.

Exactly as described
This item is exactly as described. Really has power and works great. There are grind and chop choices that work well. This is a handy item and a must have in the kitchen; takes up very little space.

One of my best companions in the kitchen
Now that I have one of these I don't know how I ever lived without it. Recipes always say they take only so many minutes to prepare, but it's just not so when you have to do a bunch of manual chopping of your ingredients. Lugging my big Cuisinart out of the cabinet just isn't worth it when I want to dice an onion, a carrot, some celery and some garlic, not to mention the cleanup of the machine afterwards. The bowl and lid of this mini chopper come clean with a quick pass under the faucet if all you are doing is chopping veggies. And I especially love how the blade remains in place when you're dumping the contents out. It hardly takes up any room on the counter and it has become one of my best companions in the kitchen. Another feature that makes this gizmo extra special is that you can reverse the blade direction while pulsing, which helps dislodge stubborn pieces that aren't getting chopped. All in all I'm quite happy with it.
