No you do not need to shampoo your hair before you color. When you do shampoo, we suggest trying our Elvive Color Vibrancy Nourishing Shampoo.

Q: Will this work on highlighted hair?

This is not recommended for use on highlighted hair. Our Magic Root Cover Up is formulated to conceal grays in seconds for flawless roots at the part, hairline and temples

Q: How much regrowth can Root Rescue cover?

Our recommendation is to use Root Rescue on 3 weeks or less of hair growth.

Q: If I can’t use all of it in one time, can I reuse the rest of it next time?

Once this is mixed it is only effective for 15 minutes, and all the mixture can and should be used at one time. Any unused mixture is to be discarded!
