Awesome Quadcopter with Gimbal, 4K!!!!
First of all this is the new version of the HS720 and the "G" is for Gimbal which makes the camera stable regardless of wind or drone position. The purchased through Amazon was a breeze and the included coupons made the purchase outstanding. It arrived well packed and intact and the presentation was splendid. At first sight the Copter looks and feels as described and seems to be developed with better quality materials, the color scheme looks better than its predecessor and with the Gimbal the videos and pictures look very clear and in 4k. This drone is good for the beginner as well as the moderate pilots out there. After flying and using all the functions: follow me, return to home button, GPS and altitude hold, this quadcopter (drone) is amazing. Did I say the Photo and video quality rocks!!! Specially if you purchase individually a 128G SD Card. (Not Included) This is not my 1st quadcopter, I had many other older models from racers to first generation gimble camera attachments, large quadcopters heavy 1st generation ones and let me tell you as small as it is and for the price WAAAAOOOO! what a purchase. The only downside is that does not come with propeller guards and only comes with 1 battery, but you can get the prop guards here on Amazon I belive for around 13 bucks, something that Holy Stone might want to upgrade, but so far the all functions work as intended, the gps hold is working splendid and the copter does as it was designed to do. The app "Ophelia Fly" works perfect and keeps the drone flying flawlessly. The weight of this drone is 370 Grams, so you need to register it with the FAA (check the FAA website for any updates on drone flying). You may want to check the HS175D (215 Grams) if you are looking for a lighter drone and their latest version without a gimbal, smaller and best yet no need to register. HS720G Pro's 1. Price and Customer Service. 2. Quality materials and well constructed. 3. Easy to manage. All functions work as described. 3. Gimble for Camera Stability and Quality videos and pictures. 4. Discount Coupons. Cons: 1. No propeller guards included. But can be found here for around 13 dollars. 2. WEIGHT, 370Grams, NEEDS REGISTRATION WITH THE FAA. (Please check the FAA website for updates on new requirements for drones in 2022). 3. Only 1 Battery A good purchase if you're reconnecting yourself like me with quadcopters. Made for the beginner and avid enthusiast pilots that are getting back into flying. Please follow all FAA updates to avoid accidents and mishaps.

Excellent GPS enabled drone that is feature rich for an amazing price.
I got this product as part of a lightning deal so I paid only $209.00 for this latest version of the drone. I read some reviews and everyone seems to think that this is a solid purchase and solid drone model. I received the drone and after registering it with the FAA and getting a suitable location to fly from using the B4UFLY app I took it up for the maiden flight. I have flown various drones including a non-GPS-enabled sport drone and I have to say the experience was awesome. The drone is very responsive. It is easy to set up and go through the calibration process for the initial flight. I used it in Beginner mode just till I got acclimated to the distances and heights for Return to Home at Beginner. Then I started to play with extending the ranges. I have a video that I took that goes with the image of a school close by the park I took off from. I would totally recommend this drone for someone that is looking to make the jump to a quality GPS-enabled drone with a gimble as the drone does take some very smooth video. Being the first flight I didn't push it to the limits yet but I can see already that this is one I am going to have a lot of fun with I would highly recommend this HS720G to anyone. It even comes in a cool carrying case to transport the drone, controller, spare props, battery and I purchased a landing pad which also fits in the case. My next purchase will be an additional battery so I can fly for extended periods but 20-26 on a single battery is not bad at all.

Excellent drone for the price range!
After doing a lot of research online for a quality drone under $500, I settled on this one...and I was not disappointed! The carrying case alone was a welcome feature; great for travel and pretty smart looking as well. The drome handles pretty much as advertised. It isn't as steady in the wind as I'd hoped but overall it holds position pretty well. The instructions for setup and initial flight were pretty straightforward and easy to follow. I've only taken it up once so far but I'm pretty pleased. The camera seems to take excellent photos (I included the one I took with the drone being about 100ft up and 100 ft away from me). My first attempt at using the "follow me" mode was unsuccessful but that may have been pilot error. The point of interest feature worked as described, it will take some practice to get it to circle around a specific point you are interested in filming. The battery life is right around where it is described but will of course depend on what you're doing and the flying conditions (although it would have been nice if there were two batteries included instead of one). The only thing that kept me from giving it a full five stars was the second time I tested out the return home feature, it started to fly off in the other direction so I had to quickly shut it down. Overall a great drone for the price, I would recommend picking one up if you're looking for a quality drone with good features under $500.

My first drone - easy to use and worked right away!
This drone is very well designed and packaged. After downloading the application to my phone and charging the battery (drone and adding batteries to the controller) it was ready to go. There are a number of great YouTube videos that make it very easy to do initial set up in configuration and preparing to fly. I connected to the drone to the phone application, set everything to beginner mode, and a few other very simple settings hit the start button and launch button and it was off into the sky. The GPS setting on the controller makes it very easy to keep track of the drone and to fly it at a low, initial level, take photographs, pan around, go up and down and so on and so forth. One of the most impressive aspects of the drone is how stable it is even in moderate winds. The drone never struggled to hold its position, and even when rising or dropping in elevation by using the controller, it was very stable, and this was evidenced by the quality of the video streaming back to the phone. When it came time to land, I simply pressed the return to home button, the drone immediately rose to the pre-set height ( to clear trees in the area) and navigated to within 1 foot of its original launching point. Very impressive! The video quality is absolutely 4K and the photos are also very high resolution. Super pleased. When finished with the drone, it’s very easy to fold up the arms and propellers and the controller and put it back into the really nice carrying case that comes with the drone from the company. The battery held power in the drone for well over 20 minutes and plenty of reserve power left (remembering that when it gets too low, the drone will automatically return to home and then shut down before depleting the battery power). The drone battery takes a bit of time to charge but not excessive. Bottom line, this is a great first drone, and although others may recommend starting out with something a bit more rudimentary, this was a breeze to fly for somebody who would never flown a drone before. 5 Stars!

THIS HS720G is where you start!
The HS720G drone from Holy Stone is where you start if you already know you are going to dig flying drones but are not comfortable spending over a thousand dollars because you're likely going to crash. The HS720G has GPS but no object avoidance, and that means you have to LEARN TO FLY! I started with a sub- $100 drone that did not have GPS, so I crashed it non-stop as I was learning and because it was sub- $100, it was also not built to take a beating, so it broke pretty fast. The HS720G is different. I'm not sure how Holy Stone did it, but the thing is a brute. Even with the GPS, I have still lost control of it (usually while bringing it down for a landing) and crashed it. But besides scratching up the props (see picture), the drone just shook it off and was ready to fly without hesitation. I still haven't changed the props because it is still flying perfectly! When flying the HS720G, I swear, you will feel like you are flying a $1000 drone. The difference seems to primarily be in the lens/camera quality ($1000+ drones are flying professional cameras), and object avoidance. Since purchasing 3 of these HS720G drones, I've also now bought a $1000+ drone so I can confidently report that the HS720G is where you need to start because the quality is so close. The other issue my more expensive drone has is that it can be disabled if I don't get specific approval to fly in controlled airspace, which makes sense, except that that means I can't even fly it in my own backyard 25 feet in the air without going through an approval process. It just simply won't take off. The HS720G is just heavy enough (more than 250 grams) to require a $5 registration that must be affixed to the drone in some way. Not a big deal, and it also helps you to recover the drone if it gets away from you. The Holy Stone HS720G is so good; it may be not only where you start but where you end up as a hobbyist if photography isn't your primary concern; in other words, you just want to fly and shoot cool, if not professional, video and pictures. I have purchased 3 of these drones, one for me, one for a friend, and one for my daughter's fiancee. Everyone is in agreement that this is not just an incredible drone for the price but an incredible drone, full-stop!

Amazing drone in all aspects
I have owned holystone drones previously to buying this (the HS165). Purchased this during a prime sale earlier this month, and honestly I'm really impressed. The drone flies surprisingly well and easy to get the hang of. It stays stable during moderate winds (5 - 10mph) and takes good quality photos and videos. The durability is pretty solid, I've crashed it twice by accident (misjudged wind and it hit a tree) and there were no cracks at all and the drones performance was not affected. The RTH feature works just as advertised, and has saved me a couple times when I wasn't paying attention to my battery level. FPV Flight is pretty solid, I was able to get a decent enough range of 300-400 feet without it having a huge delay, and I could control it really well. I ended up buying a cheap phone VR Headset and used an old phone (Samsung S8) for that, and it works great. I found that the batter takes around 5 hours to charge with me getting around 25 minutes of flight on Sport mode and around 32-35 on Tripod. Switching between the two I get around 28 minutes. I personally use mine for sports photography and just general reactional stuff, and the camera is enough for what I'm doing. I did have to get this drone registered though, so buyers be aware that you will need to purchase a registration ($5 every 3 years) and pass the free T.R.U.S.T Test to fly the drone legally. I recommend that if your using the drone for pictures and videos, you use Tripod mode, as the drone moves slower so everything is more stabilized.

Love it
I was initially extremely impressed with my drone after it arrived. Pros The camera is really nice, the motors are incredibly strong maybe even too strong. I really liked how the drone can be linked to my phone so I can irt see what the drone sees however if you dont have a newer phone that uses correct wifi that feature wont work. The app isnt great but does work if your phone can handle it. I also liked how easy it is to fly this drone with very little experience. There's several modes to make flying easy that i didnt expect to be included in a drone in this price range. Now for the cons Unfortunately my drone came with a Bluetooth engine that didn't make its self know till after the return window closed. Mine lasted 2 months then 200ft in the air the engine suddenly came off causing the drone to flip upside down and full power propel itself into the ground. The the drones credit it really didnt mess it up too much and probably could have been repaired. Besides the battery being shot and the obviously missing engine the drone was still in good condition. The company has agreed to send me a replacement since the engine was defective. They did however make me pay shipping. As of posting this review I still haven't received the replacement due to them sending it to the wrong address so whenever it's delivered I'll update this review. In conclusion if you don't crash your drone or get the 1 in a million defective one you'll love this drone. UPDATE Holeystone made it right and replaced my drone. The new drone has flown without incident and has again exceed expectations for a drone in this price range. I'd definitely buy again

it will fly itself and ignore controller input.
Very VERY disappointed in this. I'll preface by saying this was my first drone, but if they're supposed to act this way then its a very expensive hobby indeed. The controller does a poor job of holding your phone, it would slip out. So I never did get to use that. I was only flying by looking at it like with remote control planes. But that's not a problem because I was in a wide open area. Now for the flight... It started out flying fine I was only flying low because its always so bright out, and I couldn't go by the camera - only by watching it, then a red light came on (so I checked battery power on the controller display. It was at halfway depleted), so I started walking back to my truck with it following along beside me like a dog. Then it went straight up about 60 feet in the air and started going backwards away from me totally ignoring controller input and refusing to drop altitude or steer. Wide open skies except one tower that it was heading straight towards until it ran into the side of it and fell (see pictures for how it could literally go anywhere else on its little self-directed journey). Looked like it started to try flying again in midair and then hit the tower again falling to the ground - but not before bouncing off a pipe going into the base of the tower like a rubber ball. The drone is now falling apart. All in all I got less than one battery charge worth of fly time from this thing before it started it's kamikaze mission. I would never buy this one again.
