Really cool toy!
This is a great set. It's very versatile and can be used with other sets from this brand. My one-year-old currently loves using the long magnets to pick up the balls. Maybe in the future he'll build with it! It seems like a toy that will stay a favorite for at least a few years, so it should be well worth the money! The magnets are just strong enough, and they're super safe -- they can't easily pinch those little fingers.

Okay, I'll say it. Sometimes playing with your kids is boring. Just trying to be real here. Rarely do the interests of a 3 year-old and a 33 year-old align. This product changed everything. We received a small SmartMax starter set for Christmas and, immediately, I wanted MOAR. I ordered this massive tub of magic "for my son" and ended up opening it while he was napping because I was so excited. I know the price is high for a children's toy, but it promotes open-ended play and creativity (without screens!), and is well worth every penny. This is truly a spectacular toy that will continue to stimulate and entertain our toddler for years to come, and it's something that our entire family can do together. The quality is also very good. The individual pieces are substantial and don't feel cheap. I can't wait to buy more to grow our set.

Awesome ! Wish there were more in the box!
These are super cool toys- nice strong magnets. Good sized rods and balls. My 2-year-old loves the set. Only complaint - too few in the box !! You really need to buy two boxes in order to do much more than a double-sided pyramid.
