Used for enabling my PC case usb-c port
There are two versions of this card PCI-E 2X and PCI-E 1X. I'm not sure what the difference in speed is but I'd recommend the 2X version if you have an available slot. It will work fine in a PCI-E 16X slot. My NZXT 510 case has a usb-c port on it but my motherboard didn't have built in connectivity for that. I used this board to enable my PC case port and it works great. It's at least as fast as the usb-c port on my motherboard's built in usb-c port. The product comes with a mini cd-rom that includes the driver. I did not need to us it as Windows 11 detected the card automatically. The card came with a standard plate installed but a smaller plate is also included if you need to install it in a small form factor PC. The card does not have any external usb-c ports so only buy this if you need to enable a port on your PC case.

Does what it says it does
Like other buyers, I had a PC case with a front USB-C port and a motherboard without a front USB-C connector. Since it bugs me to leave any functionality on the table, I bought this adapter. It installed cleanly into a B550-M Micro-ATX motherboard alongside a 3080 in the other PCIe slot. It worked right away — zero driver install, just plug and play. Haven't tested speeds because my goal was convenience more than anything else. Now my phone can be plugged into the front USB-C for charging and easy access. USB-C thumb drives work too. For the $20 I paid, it's cheaper than buying a whole new motherboard (and in turn a whole new system because of the later socket architecture changes). Thinking about buying another one for another PC with the exact same mobo/case mismatch.

Great addon for front-panel connectors!
I got this card because the AMD ASMedia USB controller on my motherboard had lots of issues when connecting an iPad or iPhone. When looking online for information on a better USB controller, I was told to go for Renesas chipset (like this card has) or Fresco Logic, and to avoid VIA and ASMedia. I guess if there are negatives, it's that this card only supports 5 Gbps (PCIe Rev. 2.x, I believe - PCIe Gen3/4/5 would offer way more bandwidth on a 1X connector). However, it's been 100% reliable (so far), and I like that *way* more than using my motherboard's 10-20 Gbps ports that almost never work. This USB card does what it's supposed to do. No issues. If you're having trouble with your case's front USB ports working with various devices like iPhone, give this card a try.

Firmware Flops on B550 PCIE Gen detection
In my opinion you probably shouldn't have to do this if there are no instructions or disclaimers included, however: if you are plugging into (literally Amazon's suggested ASUS B550 board) it will bug out on PCIE and try to run in gen 1 and will never work (BIOS Linux Windows home or embedded, whatever) maybe supply power depending on the model of card. Go into your onboard device controls on your motherboard and specify the slot the card is plugged into to run at either gen 2 or gen 3. It will work just fine at next post. You can find the slot read out typically on the board, in the B550 F WiFi Gaming ROG Strix 2 (I now know why this was 40 dollars off MSRP) the bottom 1x slot is called PCIEX1_3 and is found under UEFI > advanced> onboard devices.

Seamless install and immediate use
Application is on a Corsair 5000D case, with three front panel USB connections. One being a USB-C connection. The two USB cables terminate into a Female 20pin header (19 pins used) Motherboard is Aorus B550 Elite (Rev1) The F_USB1/F_USB2 IS A 20 PIN (19used) Female connection. BOTH have female connections! Neither company offer any adapters! Buyer best be well versed in knowing what is needed. I do not know how to test for data transfer of this PCIE product. But I did install it into PCIEX1 slot. Tested by connecting Xtool D7S scanner and performing data transfer of videos and reports. Using both front USB ports, the card performed flawlessly. I never saw a driver update unless it was that fast. Using a NMVe SSD for the OS system. Overall am very satisfied with product. I would recommend for those with limited PC skills. Of course with endless personal configurations YMMV. Zero ratings on tech support as none was needed.

Do not purchase
The cheapest quality pc component I've purchased in my 25 year career building PCs. One time use only. Once USB header cables are plugged in, good luck try pulling them out. No glue securing plastic housing on either ports. Housing comes off during removal with the flimsiest pins exposed.

Skeptical at first. But not any more
I typically don't trust brands that I have not seen or herd of. However for the price these were offered, I rolled the dice. I purchase 3. One for each of my kids computer which needed usb-c supply. These plugged right in, and fired right up. No problems what so ever. Windows installed drivers before the desktop loaded. I do recommend these to anyone in need of internal motherboard expansion.

installed, together with EZDIY-FAB 5.25 inch 10Gbps Usb 3.1 Gen 2 hub, this has further prolonged and enhanced the usefulness of my ever faithful 2012 HP elite 8300 SFF Desktop.

I built a PC last year but didn't acknowledge when building it that my motherboard did not have a USB C port to power the USB C on the top of the case (I have the NZXT H510). For a long time, I wondered if I could find anything extra to install which would allow me to use this port. Thankfully, I finally came across this PCI-E card from Beyimei which let me power the USB C slot on my PC case. It took about 10 minutes to install and works a treat.
