What a disappointment! To start with, it couldn't be set to the thickness I was after. It is a little too narrow to accommodate the loaf I wanted to slice. Then it broke on the second use. The narrower arch that acts as a cutting guide is held on by 2 little plastic pegs that are about 4mm in diameter. Be sure not to touch it as they snap effortlessly. The only reason I gave it a 2nd star is because it might be better designed for some people with narrower loaves.

We use it to cut small whole loaves of bread, like raisin bread or other kinds bought at a bakery to get thinner slices than available by pre cut bread. Love using it an d the grandchildren think it is cool.

Only was able to use it twice before it started coming apart. I need something a bit sturdier not made from low grade plastic.

Very handy product. My daughter and I love it. I have essential tremors which is why I purchased it. Now I can cut my homemade loaves without worrying about the knife slipping and getting cut or ruining the bread.
