Mushrooms : Kavanagh, James, Press, Waterford, Leung, Raymond: desertcart.in: Books Review: I seen this one on mushrooms and thought it would be a great addition to our bug out bags. Once I got it and seen all the information on it. Bought the one on edible plants, medical plants, field dressing game. And put them in our bags as well, for the money it cost it is an awful lot of knowledge in a little light weight space. I already know a bunch of it, but the if something happened the wife or kids can use it and get by. I wish I had them when I was a Boy Scout! I highly recommend these!! They are water proof and pretty heavy duty so they won’t get beat up to easy. I put it as 13+ on age cause I’m a lot older then that… lol but as long as they can read they can use this. Review: I do not want this product! please refund my money

This has been helpful with our nature studies. (We homeschool, ala Charlotte Mason). My 5yo son loves it! I didn't realize he was reading it on his own until we were walking in the woods recently and spotted some mushrooms. I asked our friend to take a pic of the mushrooms with her phone so we could identify them at home, since we didn't have the guide with us. My son piped up and said "I already know what they are! They're turkey tails!" She took the pic and we looked them up at home. Sure enough, that's what they were! I'm sure the guide is not comprehensive, since it has limited space. But the pictures seem great and the concise descriptions are helpful. It's perfect for kids: colorful pics, good variety of species, not too overwhelmingly long (like a guide book), good size for small hands. It's really added to our homeschool nature studies.

I love these. I have a basket with different ones that I set on the picnic table when camping with the scouts!

Informative and liked the coating on it for easy wipe off.
