Hunter 30901 Activated Carbon Universal Cut-to-Fit Replacement Air Purifier Pre-Filter for Most Hunter PermaLife, HEPAtech, and QuietFlo Air Purifier Models, Black, Medium (FT30901)

I'm surprised how often I have to replace the filters on my Hunter air cleaner. I've bought precut filters before, but they are higher in price and I get fewer filters from the box. These are not hard to cut to size. They work as well as the filter that shipped with the air cleaner.

I just received and installed my brand new carbon pre-filter #30901. Not sure if I'm allowed to say the manufacturer (Bulkfilter) but I think it may be important to do so. I own two Hunter Air-Purifier's Model# 30883. Love these machines but couldn't continue to pay the high price for the HEPA filter and pre-filters so I stopped using them. The HEPA filter for my machines is #30920 and Amazon sells them at a GREAT bargain! The pre-filter I purchased here #30901 is very large (16"x30") and is enough to fit my machine after cutting. I get three (3) pre-filters out of this package... And since I'm using only one of my machines I get nine months worth of use. The instructions state to change the pre-filter every 1 to 3 months and I change mine every 3 months (depending on how dirty it is). I change the HEPA filter every 6 months. In addition this is the same exact pre-filter that Hunter sells for a lot more money. Those who are saying this is not the same pre-filter and it's not the same quality as the "original" may have gotten their shipment from a different vendor. They tell you directly on the package to compare their pre-filter to Hunter's replacement pre-filter... I'm telling you they are the same. If these filters disappear from this site I know I can go directly to that manufacturer's site and get them. Hunter's Air Purifier HEPA machine's are great and I am so happy to have mine back on cleaning the air my family and I breathe!! Good Health and Blessings.

This carbon-impregnated filter fabric is the correct replacement pre-filter for a Hunter 30215 fan assembly. It needs to be unfolded and cut with scissors to the proper size to fit in the Hunter 30215 fan assembly. Tip: don't throw the old pre-filter away until you use the old pre-filter as a template to cut the new fabric.

I like the Hunter series of HEPA air filters - there is a noticible decrease in the amount of dust in my home, and it allows me to stretch the length of time between vacumming. The pre-filter can vacuumed out, rather than replaced, which lengthens the lifespan. The nature of the filter material in the true HEPA media, however, doesn't lend itself to vacuuming, so be prepared to pay for replacements as indicated.

This is not nearly as good as the original. I cut it to make it fit and it's okay, but it is very thin. I'll have to wait to see how well it actually works. I'm adding this to my review. I have been using this now for a few weeks and I can tell a big difference in the original. I wish I had kept the original! This does not work even a fraction as well. I smell odors that I did not smell before. Product description is wrong on Amazon. It states size as 11.3 X 10 X 2.5 inches. It actually more like 11.3 X 10 X .2 inches.

Found the best price on Amazon.com, searched Lowe's, Home Depot and even Hunter's website. They were easy to find when searching Hunter replacemenet filters on Amazon. They arrived very fast, even though we used Super Saver shipping and it was supposed to take longer. We got two; (3) months worth of filtering from this one Carbon Pre-filter purchase (you have to cut it to size)and it works out great when changing the main filter every (6) months (see other review). And best of all, my previous purchases are saved on Amazon, so when I need to reorder, it's a snap! Hope this helps someone.....

This filter works great! We have two cats that shed constantly every day. My poor husband is allergic to the cats and this filter traps a lot of the cat hair so he can breath easy. He couldn't survive without this filter .. it's been a God send for us! I'm going to order another one for our front room since we use this one in our bedroom.

This is the original Hunter Brand material (at least that's what I received). It's good quality prefilter carbon fiber and I was able to cut 2 complete filters for my Hunter Model #30057 from just one box of material. I have 3 Model #30057 Units and since I bought 3 quantities of this item, these 3 boxes yielded me 2 filters for each unit. I also have an older and much smaller desktop Holmes Unit that needed a new prefilter and all the leftover scraps from this material is enough to keep the Holmes Unit in prefilters for the next year!
