Apple 2020 Mac Mini with Apple M1 Chip 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD Storage Silver (Renewed)

I've been curious about Macs for a long time but always was too afraid to jump in because the cost to value offered by Apple's products was somewhat poor in the past. However, the Mac mini is the first product Apple has released in some time that I find to be a compelling value. The M1 chip is crazy fast and the machine is eerily silent. My last desktop sounded like a fighter jet, but you'd be hard pressed to tell the Mac mini was on, save for the indicator light at the front. There are 2 quirks to the machine that I did not know about at the time of purchase that I'd like to warn others about. First, MacOS is optimized for 4k+ resolutions. On lower resolutions, it scales down and the results are sometimes iffy. Text is sometimes blurry or hard to read (especially small text). Depending on what you'd use it for, you may want to upgrade to a 4k monitor. I'm using a 1440p monitor and still having some issues. For day to day stuff, the computer is still perfectly functional, however. The second quirk is that MacOS natively does not support volume control if you're outputting your sound via your monitor; the volume plays at full blast with the expectation that you'll use your monitor/speaker controls to adjust it. It seems like there are some third-party apps that can serve as a workaround for this. Alternatively, you can connect the Mac mini via its 3.5mm jack to some speakers. If you're really crazy, the Mac Mini does have built in speakers as well (which I was stunned to learn!); they sound quite poor, however.

Product came in good condition, haven’t had any problems since I got it, and runs super fast. Mostly use it for Logic Pro and video editing and so far so good. 😎

I thought it would last forever but alas, even Apple devices come to the end of their upgrade life. It worked very well for a renewed product, and I recommend renewed Apple devices from Amazon. If it's faulty, and some are, return it. Better price than new and you can pretty much get what you want. I recommend.

Buen producto, cumple con lo que promete. Lo pedí desde México y el tiempo de espera fue el acordado, el producto (cómo es evidente) cuenta con detalles estéticos, cuenta con rayones en la carcasa, y la tapa inferior, aunque al ser un producto reacondicionado, es normal. Al día de hoy, le he dado un uso moderado para la universidad, HTML, Javascript, etc, todo funciona bien. La única observación que podría dar es que el dispositivo no trae su cable de carga original, de ahí en más, todo está perfecto 💯 Gracias!
