Amazon Essentials Men's Linen Casual Classic Fit Short

I ordered the wine red pair in x3. BUYER BE AWARE. The wine red is alot lighter then its advertised. Thinkfully I read the reviews before purchasing and was aware of that. The actual color of the shorts is a nice red so im still very satisfied with them. Ive seen the reviews about how they are a size large, i personally find that to not be true. I feel like they fit true to size. They are really comfortable and seem to be made well and durable. I am thick in the thighs so i wouldn't be suprised if the shorts start to break down over time. Every single pair I've owned break down in the crotch area after several uses. Im going on a trip in May so afterwards I'll update my review if they held up or started thinning in the thighs. But for now I give it 5 stars very satisfied with my purchase.

I’m a 32W, got the small size and they fit well. I live in the subtropics so breathable lightweight clothes are essential. These shorts served me well over the past year of use, and I’m very happy with the price point. Last week they developed a tear across the back, probably from sitting on concrete. The fabric is very thin, which makes it somewhat sheer (not enough to bother me or fully show the hearts on my boxers). That thinness also made me sure that it was just a matter of time before a tear developed. I’m happy enough with the amount of abuse I got out these that I ordered another pair. The comfort is well worth it.

I have a 32" waist when I measure it with a tape measure, but men's pants sizes are such that I wear size 29" or 30" men's pants. I workout and keep myself in shape, so I want things to fit properly. These are listed as baggy fit, so I bought the extra small, and I'm very happy with the fit. Very snug when first putting them on, they're almost stretchy because of the linen/cotton blend, and they quickly stretch out enough to be just lose enough to be comfortable, but still look good. I removed the drawstring and fold the 2" elastic waistband over once so they aren't too high waisted. Voila! cool pants. If you don't mind the cheap construction (the elastic band floats in its channel and sometimes gets partly flopped back), and the high waistband, or if you don't care how they fit and go for the intended baggy look, these pants are great!

I'm not a big reviewer of products and I had my doubts about these shorts due to the mixed reviews (too baggy, too small, red thread etc...). But the "linen", "price", and numerous reviews that did mention "comfort" led me to take a chance. I'm cruising to Bahamas next week and live in Florida so Im looking for shorts that are light and comfortable in the heat.... Just received 2 pair yesterday (white and light gray...which is more of a dingy white than gray). WOW, the best fitting most comfortable shorts I have ever worn!!!! Just ordered the dark Khaki!! Yes the cuff is a little odd but not a major fashion snafu... The tiny red sticking on the white shorts is not bad..just draws even more attention to the package!! The fit is outstanding (I'm 6' 215lbs, athletic build) and I hesitantly ordered Medium (I NEVER wear medium). Fit is fantastic!! NOT baggy!! And the material is so soft and lightweight!! The ONLY thing I would like to see is more pockets, but then all you really need in your pockets is a credit card, ID, and some cash! Buy em!!! Fantastic!!

My husband is about 5'8" with a 32/33" waist. Small fits perfect for a tighter fit, which he likes. We got a different color in a medium and they are a little baggy, but works for the color. We are keeping both, because they work perfectly for the style! Definitely depends on the type of look you're going for. Great material. Not shear. Light and breezy. I love him in these :)!

These are good shorts with good breatheability, but they just do not fit me so well. They are a little tight in the thigh area and tend to ride up in the back of the thigh more than expected when sitting or bending over. I got the Large size, which is probably about as good as it can get. I am about a 36 or 38 inch waist. If I were to go up a size, it may not fit well in the waist. Good value proposition overall.

I only wait to see if the fabric wears as some low rating complaints have stated. Other than that? PERFECT!!! Exactly what I was looking for EXCEPT for the red secure stitching on the pockets and faux zipper flap. But these are small things. They also are tacked on the seems for like a 1/2" cuff. along the rest of the leg opening, this cuff flaps out or up according to whatever. I suggest pressing it down really well with an iron in order to crease it securely into place. Or at least this is what I did. They hang just about to the knee, and fit nicely. The material is flexible and semi stretchy like, which is nice. I can never wear clothes brand new without cleaning them first as a habit. So I washed them in cold water and tumble dried on medium heat straight from the package. For me? NO SHRINKING OCCURRED, which was another complaint I read from other purchasers. Must have been a different lot or a different stock supplier? Not an issue for my shorts. I got two pairs: White and Denim Blue...

I am 6ft and 38 waist. L would have fit but I purposely went XL. I have lots of linen and never hand wash, I just plan on shrinking. They are very thin which makes a great shorts for lounging and very cool for hot days. There is a one inch secondary hem which is only sewed in two places, you WILL have to carefully remove the hemn or fully sew it, or the cuff will not stay in place. I removed the hem making them an inch longer. Now as I wash them they will become the perfect fit. Also there is a false fly, which I love. Because of the stretchy waist I would never use the fly and a fly would make them less comfortable, they are basically pajama bottoms, but shorts, which is exactly what I was looking for. As comfortable as cotton athletic shorts, but more presentable. But also, light duty, not for working out or hiking. For what they are, I love them.

The information about size is wrong.I was led to believe to order a size down and I think I should have ordered a size up,the material seems to be good quality and I love the colour but I just can't wear them, disappointing.
