After watching 2 different YouTube videos of how to use 2 part epoxy to fix my 20+ year custom made coffee table and found this product after my research, I am very pleased with the outcome. It was not hard to use, but it required lots of prep work. It was getting the measurement and then calculating how much each part (A & B) that I needed to use to mix the product. That’s why I googled and watched videos. Anyway, my coffee table now looks better than when I brought it new. It looks like it has a clear thick layer of customer made plastic/wax shine and smooth (like bar countertop.) I don’t even need to do a second layer. Oh don’t forget to get Flexible Resin Spreaders - V-NOTCHED EDGE spreads the resin the best. Hint: I only found out recently. In between layers, I was told I can add pictures, sprinkles, anything to make the table top interesting and protected from wear and tear and waterproof.

Bought this at the recommendation of someone who does a lot of resin crafts. It is a great product and absolutely love working with it. Very easy to use, does not have a strong smell, easy to clean up, the cure time is about 24 hours or less depending on the thickness of the project and if you use a heat gun or anything. It dries very clear, can be sticky, but again, easy to clean and work with.

Works great in castings, also for blooms. It sets to a hard finish in 3 hours if put into a curing oven. Even in 2 hours sometimes.

I normally use stone coat epoxy for my countertop builds but I thought I would try this to save some money. I read reviews that said there is no difference..... that's not true. This is a good epoxy but it is not as fluid as stone coat. It also has alot less working time. I tried to do a sample board the way I usually do and could not move the colors the way I wanted. It seemed thicker and less fluid. The final product looks awesome but I did not like the 20 min from mix working time or the thickness of the epoxy. I also make epoxy cutting boards, coasters and other items that I will use this epoxy to complete. The faster set time and thickness works awesome for that purpose. It also holds patterns you draw in the epoxy better than stone coat due to the thickness. Bottom line....total boat is not good for countertops unless you are doing clear coat only, colors are not easy to do with this, use stone coat countertop epoxy, its the best and worth the price. This works great for coasters or epoxy serving boards with 1/4inch or less pour, sets fast and holds patterns well.

I have used this 2 part clear coat epoxy on a couple of recent projects. As long as you have measured the hardener & resin in two even parts (1:1) and mixed properly, it works as advertised. It's self leveling and for thicker applications you have to layer it in stages. If done correctly, you can't even tell that it has been layered. When applying multiple coats on an uneven surface (i.e.; a round handle) a thin coat will adhere and even out very well. The following coats cover just as well as long as you take your time and apply a thin even coat. A paintbrush can be used to apply this clear coat epoxy. I have been working in 85°F+ garage, which gave me 10 - 15 minutes of work time to apply this epoxy. As soon as you notice it is starting to set (thickening), you better start completing the process or it will turn into a mess. With a thin coat applied the epoxy can be handled (touched) within 2 - 3 hours. Needless to say, leaving it to dry/cure overnight is wiser, especially if multiple coats are to be applied. You can not be in a rush. This is the first time using "TOTALBOAT Tabletop Expoxy" and I have been very pleased with the outcome. My most recent projects were custom made gaff hooks and if I may say so myself, they came out excellent. After it has fully cured it is as hard as a rock and is difficult to chip or break. I honestly feel that it works as well as some of the more expensive products on the market. It's a good value. I highly recommend this product. Do some samples before applying it to your final project. Remember to be patient, but watch your time after you have mixed the hardener & resin.
