Does the height include the spring tip/nipple on the top of the battery holder?

I had the same question but did not get an answer so I bought them and they worked perfect. They look small in the picture on the web site

Does the height of the battery holder also include the nipple portion? If so, what is the total height?

2 3/8" and you must allow the pin to put pressure on the contact. Something I just learned with a new flash light is these come in at lest 2 different lengths.

Are the aaas held in series or parallel?

The 3 x 1.5 V AAA cells are connected in series to make a 4.5 V battery.

Will this work in the Duracell 300?

This AAA battery holder seems to be quite common. There may be some slight differences between manufacturers but if the Duracell 300 battery pack looks like this and holds three AAA batteries these will most likely work. These have a little spring button on the + end. If this makes them too long for your application you can cut them off to shorten the holder.
