Nice LEDs for the price
These are true to their 8mm (around 5/16") diameter.The sealed metal part seems solidly constructed and sealed to the outside environment.The LED housing (the plastic part at the bottom) can be easily separated from the metal part and might pull out with vibration or some strain. Depending on your application that could be an issue. I would only deduct half a star if that was possible, other items like these seem to be more solidly constructed. I plan on gluing the LED housing to the metal part to make sure it all stays together.The LED operated just fine at 3V (I testing using two AA batteries), and only drew 1.5mA. The LED is bright and gives off a nice green glow and will work perfectly for my application.Overall these are a good value for the price.

Nice bright LEDs, different voltages corresponding to the color bandgaps. They seem to have series resistors built-in to prevent over-current. I don't know what the resistor values are - probably around 100 ohms or so, based on the quoted voltage ranges.
