The richest coffee you will ever taste.
Folgers in general has always been my favorite brand, because it is never acidic tasting. Just smooth coffee for a good start in the morning or a relaxing evening treat. But I have always gone for the richest they had. Columbian, Gourmet... whatever was the darkest richest roast available. Well they really topped themselves with the Black Silk. Aptly named because it is the darkest roast and so smooth in taste.I have gifted it to some friends that never tried it. They will never buy their old brand again!I think another reason for the richness, is the finer grind they use. More hot water getting more ground coverage. In that vein, I do taste the difference with coffee makers that do not get the water hot enough. Small makers heat up the water faster and hotter, and some large makers have a 4 cup option. I always use that, because the water is much more heated before it is allowed to move up to the grounds.I love the way Folgers seals their coffee containers. It is literally NEVER stale. i had 2 canisters get pushed in back of some seldom used products for over a year. They were still very vacuum sealed when I found them. The plastic inner seal dips down from the packing and you can tell at a glance if it has sprung a leak. Never happened! And i have been buying Folgers for forty years.
