Karina Garcia's DIY Slime

There are a lot of recipes for different kinds of slime, the one I tried was the fruity, chewy slime because it was post halloween and I had the extra starburst lying around. It was easy but it took longer than I’d like (not her fault, i’m just impatient!) and you can’t let a kid do it. But I like that there wasn’t an age restriction on it since it was edible.This book (I tried another kind too) also calls for contact lens solution. But there are different kinds and it doesn’t specify what the chemical is- the one I use has peroxide in it that will burn the heck out of your eyes if you touch it to your eye, so I can’t imagine putting it into a slime that kids are going to touch. So, use your judgement on that, maybe test it out? I think the book means the multi purpose solution- I think those don’t burn if you touch it directly to your eye. This book has an age range on it, so that was good to know or I’d have totally let a 3 year old play with this!

My daughter loves making slime! This book gives some creative ways to change her traditional recipe. Take a look at the ingredients needed for each recipe. There are some unusual ingredients that you might not have around your house. We gave this to a friend as a gift because we liked it so much and we included all the ingredients needed to make the slime in the book.

If you have someone in your family addicted to making their own slime this is the book. We tried one of the recipes over the weekend. My niece loves playing with the stuff but is enthralled with making it. I feel it encourages her scientific skills and imagination at this age and stage so love to encourage this.

I love how creamy Garcia teaches you how to make the slimes my mom got this for my sister and we both loved it super cool I would totally recommend!!!

I liked how it gave detailed instruction on how to make the slimes. One thing I didn't like was how there wasn't very many slime recipes in the book, and I didn't have a lot of the ingredients it called for. Overall I would recommend this book. Great for kids.

I discovered Karina on YouTube but this book takes her slime expertise to a whole other level. The photos are clear and informative for all the "slimers" out there- you know who you are. But I also love her positive attitude and encouragement to follow your dreams and make them a reality.

Easy directions - perfect for even younger kids.

This book has some really great recipes that kids can follow; however, there’s nothing truly new in the book. You can get all the recipes or some similar, from YouTube.

Sadly this is a disappointing purchase;my friend and I have tried 4 of the 'recipes' and all have FAILED, now I'm up to my eyes in useless 'ingredients' that I bought for said 'recipes'.This has keft me out of pocket!

This book is clear and well explained, none of the recipes work however and we were unsuccessful at making slime recipes despite mulitiple attempts. My daughter was so disappointed

Americanised terms hence not sure what a few of the supplies in this book actually are. Not really had much success with the recipes but saying that the friend who recommended it has a daughter who loves this book and has a slime lab in their garage. Might just be our inexperience with making slime to be fair

Like a land in a glove

This book is great for children to use with adult help. My 9 year old granddaughter is crazy about slime just now. I have bought this book as a stocking filler for her.
