Quick Easy and Simple
I purchased this to fix a toilet that was constantly "running". After spending an hour messing with the original components, I decided to bite the bullet and replace the parts. Before going further, know that the MOST I've done with a toilet is removed the lid and jiggled the chain until it "fixed" itself. So prior to this week, I knew very little about repairing or replacing the parts of a toilet's tank. Upon opening the packaging, I went straight to the instructions. I REALLY didn't want to screw this up and possibly have a non-working toilet. I'm happy to say that the instructions included pictures/images and text and were very easy to follow. Truthfully, there were a couple of instances where I thought it was too easy and went forward without referring to the plans -- bad move that led to confusion. But going back to the instructions quickly fixed this. I got the old components out and new components in within 15 minutes. I then spent the next 5 minutes adjusting the flush amount and water capacity. Truthfully, I could have stopped at the 15 minute mark and been OK, but when you invest in components that are designed for efficiency and saving water, you spend the extra 5 minutes trying to get your money worth. Once everything was installed to my liking, I looked at my watch and was surprised how quickly I'd done everything. I was quite surprised. The unit it's terribly loud nor is it super quiet. It's roughly the sound level of your average toilet, maybe slightly quieter, but nothing that's going to draw attention or make you say "that's quiet". The tank does have the option to quickly fill. Though it's worth noting that a quick fill will result in more noise as more water rushed into the tank. Opting for a slow fill gives you a quieter experience but the noise lasts longer. I set my flow to roughly 7. This gave a slightly quieter experience while still fairly quickly filling up the tank. The flusher also has a setting that dictates how much water going into the bowl. Again it's worth playing around with. Out of the box, this was set to Max. I tried Minimum and was disappointed when the toilet could barely flush more than a few sheets of toilet paper. I found my sweet spot to be 6, but pushed it up to 7 for those super emptying out bathroom experiences. I won't mind changing the water flow on the fly, but the bowl fill is one I won't like because I'll have to reach to the bottom of the tank to do so. So it's been stated, I did not need to cut or glue anything together. I saw other comments mentioning cutting. The unit increases and decreases in height where needed so I'm not even sure what one would have to cut or chop unless they wanted to over-complicate a simple situation. I also recall a comment about the unit pushing the top off the toilet. Again, HOW?! There are no springs. The you twist the unit to change the height. It's like a screw system, there aren't any springs and the floating sinks beneath the water level with very little weight so that couldn't push the top off the toilet's tank. In short, this is an all in 1 unit and it's quite easy to install and there's really no reason to over thinking. The two points I mentioned earlier made me hesitate to purchase the unit, but after purchasing the unit, I'm led to believe the others may have confused this unit with another. Nothing to cut and no springs to push up the lid. Just a simple yet effective system. Ultimately, I am happy with the unit as a whole. I was definitely a bit intimidated, but now feel confident tackling this again if necessary. I'd TOTALLY recommend this product.

Easy to install, immediately fix the problem
I’ve purchased three of these in the last few months to fix a variety of toilet issues. One toilet wouldn’t stop running water, one wouldn’t refill the tank, and the third just runs occasionally. This kit fixed all three issues. The parts I’m replacing appear to be what was installed when my house was built 20 years ago. They are the same brand, so I have high hopes that these will have good longevity as well. Each toilet took 15 minutes or less to replace the parts. I didn’t bother replacing the flapper in two of them because the existing flappers were fine - I’ll just hang on to the new ones so I can replace them when they begin to have issues. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. The only problem I encountered was a small leak where the hose connects to the toilet. I planned to reuse the old toilet connector, but the washers were too old. That’s not an issue with this kit; I just needed to buy a new toilet connector too. I could’ve hired a plumber to do this as well. It certainly would’ve been more expensive. I probably would’ve spent 15 minutes just on phone calls to schedule a plumber and rearranging my day to make sure I could be home. In short, this saved me time as well. In summary, this kit worked great on 20ish year-old standard toilets. It’s simple to install with clear instructions. It saved me both time and money over having a plumber do similar work. I would purchase again, but hopefully I won’t need to for another 20 years since I’ve just replaced these parts in all my toilets.

Easier and better than other replacement units
If you are debating between this or a Danco replacement. Do yourself a favor and get this. Much higher quality components and you ditch the big floating balloon in your tank. The adjustability of this unit makes it able to fit pretty much any tank. Made the mistake recently of using Danco replacement units for 2 toilets in my house, primarily because they looked like the equipment that needed replacing. One of thise units failed within the first 2-3 weeks, bowl filling valve quit working. I then bought this Fluidmaster setup. Not only was setup easier but the higher quality rubber hoses and float mechanism used by Fluidmaster made the process easier and I suspect it will have less issues due to its design.

Easy to Install!
Very easy to install (I had no clue what I was doing, and didn't even have the right tools) and works great. I bought 3 more for the rest of my toilets.

Great and easy fix for that runny and noisy toilet
I often say to myself "why did I wait so long"? Our toilet has been drippy and noisy for quite some time. I kept thinking it was the flapper, but I finally realize the other day that the problem was the filler valve. The float was "working", but the valve was no longer closing completely even with the float at the top, even after adjusting it. it was just old and no longer functioning properly. It was always open a TINY bit, and making noise and letting little drips out of the hose and down the overflow tube. Jiggling the handle did nothing for this since the issue was not the flapper. So, I replaced it with this, and now it's quiet and no drips, as you'd expect. Install was simple and straightforward. The little blue hose clamp that comes with this is a little strange though. The booklet says if the water level in the bowl it "too high", to adjust the clamp. Well, physics dictates that the water in the bowl can never get higher than the top of the "gooseneck". The real issue is whether the bowl fills up before the tank does (because if it does, you're wasting water). Adjusting the clamp reduces the flow of water through the overflow/filler tube, and this slows the filling of the bowl and speeds the filling of the tank. My advice is to adjust the clamp to the center position, flush the toilet, and see if the bowl is filled or not. If not, adjust the clamp "down" as per the instruction manual, to let more water through. You'll see what I mean when you get this.

Works great. Took me 5 mins to install. They give you a booklet of directions on specializing all the different parts to work to their fullest lol BUT they also have general directions on instalation and they are all you really need. I was able to change the water level by using the extra instructions which just made it flush harder. 1.turn off water. 2.flush toilet. 3. Put bucket under water connection and unscrew those two joints. 4. Lift and take out water filler. 5. Put in new water filler. 6. Connect the two joints connected to the water connection hose. 7. Remove bucket. 8.turn on water. 9. Flush toilet when it finishes filling tank and make sure there's no leaks from water hose area. Finished. Easy.
