be patient..IT REALLY DOES WORK
When I first took it out the package, the felt tip of the pen was dry as a bone and bright colored; not the blackish blue color I expected. I thought it’d be the same color as a sharpie because the pen looks the same. However, after repeatedly tapping the felt tip against the problem areas of my gun, until a clear colored liquid came out in small amounts -several applications later, the silvery scratch marks on my Sig Sauer P365 due to falling on a pavement, are now virtually gone. Give this thing a chance!!! I kept attempting to return it thru Amazon and they made it hard as hell, so I decided to accept my loss of 14 dollars. At that point I kept toying with it and what do ya know..the sun of a gun works!

Very Happy!
I installed new sights myself on my LC9 that didn't fill the dovetail joint all the way. Had about .010 of the base of the joint on each side of the front sight still exposed and the coating was very light under the original sight. Probably due to the original sight being installed then uninstalled which is normal. Also on the front sight, before installing the new sight, I had to clean up the front and rear "sharp" edges of the joint ever so slightly before installing the new sight. About .005 on both front and rear. Against that black of the slide, that silver stood out like a sore thumb! There was no damage, just the coating was worn. I looked on YouTube for a solution and saw this pen. So I tried it and it worked perfect!!! I cleaned only the area missing the coating with a cue tip lightly moistened with some acetone (wife's finger nail polish remover lol, same thing) very well. Let dry for a minute or so then used the pen. I went over the silver lines about 5 times letting it dry for a minute or so before each application. I also used a "NEW" soft bristle brush I bought from Harbor Freight (about a buck) every couple coats to kind of blend it a little. It was about 99% perfect. I don't think anyone else would of really noticed but me, but when I took a cleaning patch with a dab of gun oil and wiped it down even I couldn't see it anymore. I took another patch (no oil this time) and wiped the area as to get as much oil off as possible and it was absolutely perfect!!! Nothing came off and I couldn't even tell where I did the touch up. I really tried my best with a couple more clean patches to wipe it off and it still looked great. I see that some reviewers didn't have the same experience as I did and I was on the fence about buying this, but I'm glad I did. The job came out so great except for those darn lines that really bugged the heck out of me. Anyhow, problem solved!

Don't buy.
Don't buy this product from Amazon. It arrived defective, dried up, and unusable. Amazon would not take it back or give credit, so I was directed to the manufacturer to get credit. I did that a week ago, and the manufacturer has not responded. Wrong on all accounts.

Simple easy to use.
Works just about perfectly for what it was designed to do. Makes small touch ups easy to do.

Works better than expected
I was apprehensive about how well this would work, but I got a decent scratch on a parkerized barrel and needed to try something. This product filled it in almost perfectly, you have to look really hard in the right lighting to see where the scratch was. Not sure how well this would work on blueing, but it matches military finishes. I wish I would have taken some before and after pictures to show how well it worked.
