Very easy to program a code. Sturdy and well made. Useful item to have to secure items without the hassle of keys. You cannot beat the price too.

I needed a long shackle padlock and this seemed good value for money since you get two. I like the idea of it being a combination lock rather than having to use a key since there is no key to lose. You could also give the combination code to someone on a temporary basis e.g. a workman and then you could change the code again after they have left. It appears well engineered and it has a nice feel / look. It is too early to say how sturdy it is going to be (hence 3 stars / average) - time will tell . Out of the box they look fine for use inside or if they were given some protection outside e.g. by the use of a separate domed clasp or 'padlock saver' which protect it from the weather. I think if left outside unprotected in wet weather they will eventually suffer like other locks I have bought. Padlocks are generally not water-proof (impervious to water) since water can get in the top of locks where the shackle enters the body of the lock. These pad locks are said to be weather proof (resistant to the effects of bad weather, especially rainwater) meaning eventually they are likely to suffer if left out in the rain.

Have stood strong its first year under the uk weather. Hope it will last longer
