Long lasting tool!!!!
This Cripet it’s easy to use the Quality of the material it’s good with some penetrant oil will last a life time against corrosion of the exterior, but crimping its mor than great its versatility and sharpness relies on the dice that come with it!!

Need an extra hand to operate.
Works just fine. Seems like decent quality. I don't have that many cables to crimp. I'm going to say this isn't for the professional that is making hundreds of cables. For an amateur good price performance. I just wish it was made for single hand operation. You do have to do some contortion to get good crimps. holding the wire into the lug while operating is a bit of a challenge.

Worked well for me - Marine battery/power terminals 2, 4, 6, 8 AWG
Hey it is not a $300 to $1500 professional tool. And yes it has metric not AWG dies (welcome to the global market). But it worked very well for my boat overhaul, I crimped over 15 2AWG, 10 4AWG, 15 6AWG and at least 20 8AWG terminals without problem. And it is ready for future projects. 1. Be careful, take your time and it works. 2. Hand held crimp tools can be a little awkward. I found it easy to start the press until it was firmly holding the lug. 3. Then inserted the pre-trimmed wire, with heat shrink pre-cut and slipped over the wire. 4. Crimp firmly but stop when the dies touch. Over pumping will just risk blowing out the seals. 5. If you start to get "wings" squeezing out between the dies near the end of the crimp, stop. This is common to many crimp dies and soft lugs. Once you have wings you're not going to get a tight crimp by just pumping harder. 6. Release a little. Rotate the lug 90 degrees and press again to flatten the wings and finish with a tight crimp. Check the C clamp head occasionally to be sure it doesn't unscrew from the body and you should not have any leaks or problems. With a little bit of care I got very good results at a fraction of the cost of custom ordered cables or a more expensive tool.

Used for crimping 2/0 awg cables
I bought this to get some good crimps on some 2/0 awg cables. I only had a dozen crimps to make and it worked well though of course cannot speed on the topic of long term durability. I do wish the handles were a bit longer so there was a bit more leverage when crimping but that isn't much of a problem since this is not an everyday tool for me. I did notice some reviewers said the dies on their crimper were loose. Mine has the opposite issue where I have to tap on them and use a pair of pliers to remove them when I want to switch them out.

Crimping size guide is inaccurate and difficult to use on a table for leverage.
It works. However, the guide included never matches the gauge wire I'm using so I have to experiment with different size crimping teeth. It's also difficult to use in that you need to put the back of it on a table to get full leverage but it's round so it doesn't sit firmly. These need to have accurate crimper guides and a flat back for leverage.

Good quality tool
But threw away my last crimper and got this hydraulic one used it and the crimps are holding very well. I'm pretty impressed with the quality of this
