Light weight, easy to use.
Dirt was easy to use because of it light weight packaging. Easy to mix with water. Didn't work as well as other dirt I have used that was not so compact. this dirt seemed to dry out. I added more nutrients to this, and some compost which seemed to help it along more. In a pinch it will help.

Wonderful soil
This soil is fantastic if you know how to raise plants! I've tried many different brands and types of soil and this is by far my favorite and have purchased it many times. I now plant all of my indoor and outdoor plants using it. I'll explain why.1. Once your plant has been properly planted, this soil absorbs moisture evenly and will dry out EVENLY. Probably because this has many natural fibers in it (Often times many other soils are too dense, retain too much water, and the plants rot. Not with this soil) This is very important especially for indoor plants and moist climates.2. It has natural sources of fertilizer.3. It DOESN'T smell bad or grow mold if you water it the correct amount. (if it smells or grows mold, then you are watering it way too much.) I typically water my pants once every 5-10 days depending on the plant type.4. It expands, so you actually get more soil than a regular bag of soil of the same dimensions. However, this can be detriment to the inexperienced planter if you don't pre-moisten the soil before adding to the pot.Tip: Wet the soil A LITTLE BIT in a bucket or bowl and mix it well before using it. This will allow it to expand to the proper size. The soil will expand a good amount so if you skip this step then it will become too dense and the plant will suffer.

Very hard to get it to mix completely with water
I order this item because I thought it would be easy to mix with water. That was not the case. You must work the water through and smash some of the larger pieces so they don't create an isolated dry ball of potting soil. It's time consuming and a lot of work.

Expands well, drains well
Expanded well, not ideal for indoors UNLESS you'll take proper measures in controlling the pests. Unless this was caused by adding fertilizer 🤷🏽♀️. Otherwise, perfect product. Drains well, fairly smaller particles, little to no rocks.

Not your average potting soil
Once you figure out how to initially mix this properly with water you will love it! I don’t have to water my house plants as much and the soil is a pretty color and texture, which is an added bonus. It has no smell and one bag will go a very long way. I think this will be my new favorite potting soil!

Does not expand
I expected this to expand 3x. No expansion whatsoever.

Super light potting soil
Rating for value for money is a 3 because I have no idea how to convert measurements. One bag will be cubic yds and another bag will be by weight.I love the fact that this expands and is super light. No more lugging around heavy bags of potting soil.So far my plants look really good.

ROOT APHIDS
The media could not be loaded. I was excited when I received this product. It was super light, just as promised. It expanded in water, just as promised. I planted a bunch of cuttings I’d been propagating (as well as some seeds), and they looked great as they settled in. However...as I was checking on them today, something seemed “off”. I looked closer...and...ROOT APHIDS. TEEMING. EVERYWHERE. In all of the pots where I used this stuff. I think they must have just recently hatched from eggs, because they’re all still really tiny. If you’ve not yet had the pleasure of encountering root aphids in your gardening ventures, do yourself a giant favor and look them up before spending a nickel on this product. Maybe I just got a bad bag (which is entirely possible, based on all the positive comments here), but oh man, it’s a REALLY bad bag. Anyone who’s ever experienced a root aphid infestation knows what I mean.Side note, if anyone knows a way of successfully getting rid of root aphids that doesn’t involve throwing away the plant and bleaching the pot, please please please let me know.
