Read for updates. Works fine and its thicker than the original. 2 months later its starting to rip.
Keep reading for updates 2020We got this washing machine used from the salvation army a year ago. It started leaking and the bellow needed a replacement. I searched on Google,eBay, sears, and Amazon. I kept seeing mixed reviews regardless of price point. I took a gamble and went with this one. So far after 4 full loads it works fine. It seems to be thicker than the original version. I did all the work myself with basic hand tools in under 4 hours start to finish. If you had a large snap ring pliers it would be easier but i didn't have one. I did not need to move the washing machine at all and worked in a small area. I did spill water on the ground. You will need two people once you put the gasket in place. After that the rest is easy. I will update this review if the bellow fails if you see no update then it's fine.Update 9-9-2018 after just 2 months of ownership the gasket is showing signs of wear on the lower half. The upper half is fine. This item isn't good!Update 3-4-19Updated my rating from 1 star to 2 stars. Its still holding up no leaks. If I haven't updated this review it's still working.Update 12-1-19No leaks updating from 2 stars to 3Update 5-22-20No issues no leaks. Keep in mind we use our washing machine 6 days a week with medium size loads. I peak at the rubber gasket and don't see anything that could be of concern. Would I buy this one again? YES upgrading from 3 to 4 stars.10-11-20Still holding fine even with daily use. I would still mark it 4 out 5 due to the weird wear markings as seen in my past photos.Feb2021No issues and no concerns. We moved our washing machine to a wooden platform to sit up higher. Overall I still recommend this gasket. I haven't had to do any maintenance to it since the install.September 2022No issues

Quick repair, great fit, no leaks
Bought a new house and the sellers left their old washing machine. I assume they were just too lazy to carry it out of the basement especially since there was a pretty bad leak that they were trying to keep under control with a piece of duck tape. Decided to replace the boot seal and this was the cheapest replacement I could find.Overall install was super easy for me (30yr old mom with 4 young kids). I watched the repair mans YouTube video a couple times and then while fixing the machine. It took me about 45 minutes to make the switch from start to finish. It would have taken longer if I had been cleaning parts while I repaired, but before the repair I had already spent a couple hours cleaning the machine so there wasn’t much left to clean. The new seal does seem to be a different material, but fits really well and there are no leaks. I wipe the inside of the machine with a dry microfiber cloth after use, and leave both the machine door and soap dispensing drawer open to allow the machine to dry out. If you don’t do this your boot seal will mold and rot no matter what material it is. Old front loaders do not circulate are with these closed. With the new seal and proper care I imagine the machine will last a long time.

Good value, but not quite there yet
I have a Maytag washer and my part number search indicates that this one is compatible. During installation, everything went smoothly, which is a good sign that I ordered the right part. However, after installation, right away, I felt the seal is not tight when the door closes against it. That usually is not a big issue, if I don't need to soak the clothes or the drain is not clogged. But sadly, for some reason, the gap between the drum and the seal is much bigger than the original part, and if I load the washer beyond 50%, some socks will always find their way into the gap, lodging inside and clogging the drain holes, causing a minor flood in my washing room. I now face this dilemma of whether to simply order a new washer, live with this risk, or buy from another vendor to try my luck. You never know the level of compatibility between the parts until it's installed and too late.

This Product Works Just Fine
This bootseal works just fine. It arrived in a small box, so we had to place it on a shelf for a few days so the creases would fall out. After that, it was pretty simple, albeit time consuming, to replace the seal. Definitely need a second person to hold the door when you take it off and put it back on again. The Boot-seal came with some imperfections like burrs and a white chalky film on it. The burrs are raised, meaning that they wont affect the seal, but are additional material. The white color is probably packing material so the rubber won't bond to itself and tear when removing it. It hasn't gone away in the wash, but it hasn't had a negative effect on the washer working. The Bottom Line: This seal isn't exactly the same size as the OEM seal BUT it is half the price and works just fine. We have read the reviews of them tearing in a couple months, but The OEM reviews say that too. Fact is, this is an acceptable and effective replacement on the cheap, by comparison. Recommended!!!UPDATE** As of 15 FEB 2020:The boot remains sealed and works perfectly. No leaks, no problems. Highly recommended.

Great product, Great price
I have a whirlpool model # WFW9200SQ02. Old bellows got damaged by washing a backpack and water was leaking out the door. After hours of research and debating between new washer( mine is 12 yrs old) and replacing bellows ( whirlpool sells for $153 ) I decided to replace bellows, but was not going to pay $153. Most bellows were priced between $90 and $100 except this one which was $49. Because it was so much cheaper I never really considered it. Last minute decided to order it thinking I would only be out $49 if it didn’t work. Watched a couple of youtube videos and was ready to go. Followed along with video and before you know bellows was installed. It was actually very easy and I have to say it fit perfect. It looked like it was factory installed and when I shut the door I knew right then it would not leak. Ran it through the cycle , no leaks. I rarely leave reviews, but decided to on this because you can save a lot money and still get the same quality. Told the wife no more backpacks, please.

Happy with purchase
I purchased item two days ago and received it this morning. Installation was fairly straight forward in my case because I was able to find a video describing the installation process. The fit was pretty decent but a couple of notes;1. After installation, door doesn't close as easily. Need to push the door closed with a little more pressure than with the one removed. One pushed closed, door remains closed even thought door lock engaging.2. The gap between where the bellow attaches to the drum and the door is wider, therefore I suspect socks and smaller items may find there way into that gap a little easier. I'll have to monitor during the next few wash cycles to see.I'll provide an update after using for a few weeks but i'm fairly please thus far with the fit.Update - July 8th, 2020 - We've run around 8-10 loads thus far and no noticeable difference from the first day it was installed.Update - August 2021 - it’s still working well with no issues.

Install is trickey and its stiffer than OEM
Delivery: Part was delivered in two days with Prime. 5/5Value: Part was half price of the OEM part and available on prime for free delivery. 5/5Inspection: On first visual inspection its stiffer than the OEM part that was removed. I'm hoping this mean more durable. I had heard this from other reviewers before purchase and will update after use if it is an issue.Install: I watched a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWTy4-27yUc which was great. Seating the seals is the important part. The back one is fairly simple, but i had to have a few goes at the front one. Once you get it in place try to close the door before putting the spring clip in place. The door will not close if you don't have it properly seated. I struggled with the spring clip pulling the bellow off case only a fraction and the door would no longer close. I found taking the clip off and repeating the seating process again worked. I started at the water inlet and then just below the hinge, 10 o'clock then 8 o'clock. Then slowly made my way around top and bottom, then finished at 3 o'clock. Also found putting the clip on top, starting at 9 o'clock and finishing at 3'olcock got it seated perfect. Took about 2 hours after watching the video, cleaning as i went and taking my time. 3/5Result: First load is on as i write this review, will update if required.

The price was right and the water leak is fixed.
The product was as advertised, it took me a couple of hours to install the seal but this was more due to my inexperience. Like other reviewers we have to push on the door to engage the door lock, this is not a big deal, I expect the seal will soften up with use and this may no longer be required. The seal works well no more water on the floor. The seal was less than half the cost charged by the local appliance part store.
