Flush valve kit easy install

Great quality drop in replacement!
I’ve only used Fluidmaster products in my maintenance career, so this was an easy choice for my home toilet. Guest toilet had a constant leak that wasn’t the flapper or any of the usual suspects. This flush valve solved the problem. The included wrench for the bottom nut was a nice extra.

The hardest part is getting the old flush apparatus off. Once off easy to install the new equipment

Flapper Clip Design Flaw
This fixed my flush valve issue but the flapper came leaking. I diagnosed the leak to be coming from the side closest to the overflow valve. The flapper seals perfectly fine when unclipped. Starts leaking with clipped back on. Turns out, the previous flapper (also Fluidmaster) looked like whoever installed the previous one also carved a little further into the plastic so the flapper could sit properly. Otherwise, the tool is very nice to have, but can also encourage overtightening and potential cracking of the flush valve plastic. Moderation.

Much more cost effective than calling a plumber!
You can call a plumber and pay over $500 to have your toilet replaced, or you can purchase this kit and fix your existing toilet. I was told, by a plumber, to replace my toilet. The fill valve, between the tank and bowl was leaking. I decided to give this kit a try BEFORE dropping over 20 times the amount of money on a new toilet. I followed the included instructions and had my toilet fixed in less than an hour. There’s no constant noise from water running anymore. The new valve DOES NOT leak at all and functions perfectly. I have a new toilet! And I fixed it myself! If you’re not comfortable performing this repair, look up some YouTube videos. It’s a much simpler repair than what any plumber will tell you! I’m very pleased with this kit and would recommend it to anyone that doesn’t want to shell out 500 dollars or more for a new toilet.

Junk
the valve itself is fine even though it sits a little high off the bottom of the tank. The flapper is junk. To keep it the toilet from leaking, I had to use the previous flapper.
