FLE-FLY The Original Crappie Gauge (10 Inch) Patented Slot Allows you to Measure Fish without Unhooking

I needed a measuring device after loosing my aluminum measuring stick overboard. (Not tethered) I almost bought the Name Brand One when I accidentally ran across this one. There is a video on youtube. It looked very strong and more practical than the Name Brand One, and after reading numerous reviews on I decided to go with this one. Several complained about the inaccuracy of the other one so the first thing I did upon receiving my FleFly was to get out the old ruler. It was perfect in the sweet spot (where the nose of the Crappie picture engraved in the plastic) but at the ends was about 1/16 off. Of course, me being me (anyone else would have left it alone) I was going to heat it with a heat gun a bend it out a touch. Well before I grabbed the heat gun, I tried to flex it and SNAP(it took lots of pressure to do this). Two minutes out of the packaging and I broke it already. I almost cried. I strip a lot of bolts working on vehicles and stuff so I guess I don't know my own strength. This is thick, tough, heavy duty plastic, like 1/8inch plexiglass and should last for years. Maybe if you step on it, it would crack or snap but if you take care of it, it should last for years. I was going to weld it back together but I didn't know what type of plastic it was so the old super glue and baking soda hack worked just fine. I'm back in business. This product is light weight yet very strong. There is no flex in it so I'm pretty sure it won't warp either. Awesome product. I love it and will re-review if there are any problems...besides me.

Flimsy. Broke after 15 to 20 uses
