I installed this by myself on a 2022 Ram 1500. It works as advertised and is almost totally hidden when not in use. The installation took me just over an hour but if things go perfectly it should take less than 30 minutes. Here are some items to think about for the install.1). I did not have to disconnect any of the wiring. It was not difficult to work around it.2). I spent half of my time trying to insert the pin welded onto the step into a slot on the frame that holds the step while you are putting in the bolts. That should take 5 minutes but it took me over 20.3). Maneuvering the step over and around the exhaust pipe is easier than it looks. Just keep trying.4). You do not need the nut that comes with the bolt in the package. There is one welded onto the frame.5) The bolts that you remove and reinstall need a 13/16 socket. I used a 2’ torque wrench. The new bolt that you have to install requires an 18 mm socket or wrench.6). It helps to use a flashlight to check out the location where you will be installing the step.I would definitely buy this again.

Quality step. Tread pattern matches the bumper exactly. Just what I needed. I should have done this sooner.

I should have read the other reviews before purchasing this. I returned it after I installing and finding that it doesn't stay in the retracted or down position. When you step on it, it would swing back up and you end up hitting your leg on the bumper.

Heavy duty. Be ready to disassemble cable and exhaust as install is tight. Cumbersome, but once in place very sturdy. Pulls out easy with foot but retracting usually requires a push by hand. Maybe after I use it more… did not need to Jack up truck for install.

This is perfect for my iphone, ear pod and iwatch. I do not need to worry about use three wires separately. The quality is good and hope this will last long

Not sure there is a single difference in the oem and this one at all other than price. Instructions say unplug a harness . No need just unpin it raise up out of the way. There is a YouTube video for the 2021 and newer style rams 1500 that shows how. Does take a cheater bar to remove the frame bolts . But it’s bout a 30 min job max. Very sturdy . Ticks up under bumper .

I loved this step, however less than a year after installation, it has broken - one of the pivot pins came loose and fell out, rendering this useless. I put it back in, but it appears that the bushing that maybe holds it in is broken, and it will fall out again. This was with normal usage.

We are vertically challenged people and this has been a lifesaver (back and knee saver too) to help us climb into the bed of our pickup when camping and when we need to get things in and out of the truck bed! Easy to install and folds out of the way when it using !

It does a great job and fits in perfectly for 2022 Ram 1500.It took me 30 min to install it. Keep on mind that two screws that you do need to remove as per instruction manual are attached to frame of the truck and you will need at least 18" long bar to be able to unscrew the screws as they are very tight.

A must have perfect fit really happy

The metals and coating used for this product are inferior. The black step coating came off in 3 months and the hardware has rusted. Poor quality.

This is a much cheaper version than the factory branded one. The step does work and I use it quite often. It feels solid and I trust it's not going to collapse. However as you can see the print pretty much started peeling right away. Pretty ugly.
