Update:Rachel from Oh! Nuts reached out to me after I posted the original review (below). She apologized for the lack of variety and offered to send a replacement. I'll admit I was skeptical that I wouldn't just have two boxes of minimally assorted snacks, but I accepted her offer and quickly heard that a new box was on its way.I received the replacement shipment within a few days, and was pleasantly surprised to find that this box had a good mix of everything as pictured in the promotional shots and some of the other reviews. I'm not sure what happened with the first shipment, but am very happy with the company's response. I feel like they went out of their way to acknowledge the problem and make it right when they could've just ignored it.-------Original Review:This was by far the worst vendor as far as flavor variety is concerned. Red, yellow, orange, and green. Not even a single slice of any other color. The other customer's images made it seem like this was a good variety, but nope. Save yourself the bother and try another vendor.

Should have paid attention to the reviewers that criticized these for being only sweet, with little fruit flavor, but have ordered items from this supplier before and always been happy and have yet to find decent fruit slices anywhere on Amazon so far, so though I'd give them a chance. Unfortunately, while they were packaged very nicely (vs. just getting a bulk bag with the slices all stuck together as you'll get with other sellers) and were fresh and soft, if you have had authentic Boston fruit slices from a good candy store, you will notice immediately how little flavor these have, some colors were virtually indistinguishable from each other. The sweetness and amount of sugar is typical for these types of candies but with so little flavor to go with the sweetness, it's like eating a sugar bomb and just not worth the price you are paying. Basically the lack of fruit flavors is very disappointing and makes these a waste of money for me, but I gave it 2 stars for nice packaging and freshness at least. If you've never had GOOD fruit slices you may even enjoy them, not knowing what you are missing. But I've come to the conclusion that there simply isn't an online source for these that makes a decent version, and will stick with the one store in my area I know of that has the real thing (unfortunately they are an hour drive away!)

I did some looking around at the various options available on Amazon, and ultimately decided (very narrowly) to purchase these, and boy am I glad that I did. They arrived quickly, were very well-packaged (slices appear to be hand-arranged, laid flat between layers of wax paper), included a varied assortment, and of course most importantly, they were fresh and taste great. I was a bit concerned from the photos that all of the flavors looked 'gourmet', but was pleasantly surprised that the ol' staples were there too: lemon, lime, orange, and cherry. Couldn't be happier with my purchase!

These are SO GOOD. So tasty, and a nice trigger of memories. They're handmade and come layered in a box with sheets of waxed paper separating each level--not jumbled up in a box. I haven't sealed them or anything, just kept them in a box and grazed on them 2-3 pieces at a time from time to time. They're pretty, very flavorful, have a lovely consistency, and there's a nice selection. One bite and it's clear this is a quality confection. Some slices mix up the flavors a bit having a "rind" of one color and flavor with a "flesh" of a different. Flavors include lime, lemon, cherry, something purple (not sure what flavor it is) and one that I swear is grapefruit, at least that's what it tastes like. They're covered with a coating of sugar, but it's not overdone at all. I would put these out for guests were I inclined to share, but I greedily bought this huge box for myself and it is going to last forever. If you're a "jelly/gummy fruit" person, you can't go wrong with this.

A lot of reviewers have complained about this candy, saying it's too granular. I think it's perfect, exactly what I wanted, and the flavors are really great - plenty of citrus. I find the last few times I've ordered Boston Fruit Slices, they've been kind of slimy and not as good as they used to be. These are the real thing. Plus the seller is just really, really great. I had problems with the vendor selling the other fruit slices but not so with these guys. I'm gonna keep ordering from them!
