Would this fit younger athletes around age 10?

Strong enough for varsity high school athletes?

Absolutely! I coach high school Track and Field. I use it all the time with my sprinters. Many of them play football as well.

The rings look pretty thin. Are they strong enough to take on huge amounts of force?

Hello, Thanks for your question the floating O-Ring has been tested extensively for large amounts of force and there have been no issues. The static D-rings are made for singe direction use. As long as the belt trainer is not modified or used in a way that it was not intended for there. will not be problems. Hope this helps.
