I needed longer HDMI runs but wanted to use my existing cables. These are perfect for turning my 6ft cables into 12! I haven't tried these couplers at HDMI 2.1 speeds as I have no 8k panels nor anything that supports 4k north of 60Hz. That said, they're fine with 2x 6ft cables running 4k @ 60Hz.

Hisense 72"U7; billions of cores but 1st gen amd processor, 32g mem, RX 5700 XT w 3 shot HDMIs, Benfei DP->HDMI adapter 6' w 5v/1a usb power, Adauxter 3' extension hdmi, coupler, same specs across all components; crossed fingers after living with a horrible anemic Sony 85" for too long: 165hz from windows to Hisense with zero issues, pic went from underwater to exploding with color and brightness. Nothing but trouble and sacrifices with earlier adapters ($7 to $100) and hdmi "high" speed cables, just 4k 60hz static Sony-pretend HDR. No idea about earc, but that's a DP issue; if it doesn't work it's not these cables/adapter.

I keep losing connection between my devices and the tv. I know both cables are good so it has to be these connectors. REVISED: After upgrading to quality cables and making the connection closer to the tv and away from the media player. I was able to get these devices to work correctly. They have been in service for over a month with no issues.

Using this to extend PS5 HDMI to a TV 30+ ft away. 4K/30 FPS and 1080P/60 FPS signals both run fine. Haven't tried 8K.

I bought this 2 pack for when my family and I go out of town and we use out laptops to project on the hotel's Smart TVs via HDMI. The problem I had was connecting a laptop to the TV and then changing the streaming device to my Firestick. I hated going around the back of TV with limited space and swapping out the cable. This way I can just plug in just 1 HDMI cable just once and use these coupler to switch between laptops and Firestick 4K with convenience and ease. It's backwards compatibile too because speeds of devices. It just works on all our mentioned devices.

Bei uns läuft ein HDMI Kabel vom Fernseher zu diesem Adapter und am anderen Ende wird der FireTV-Stick angesteckt. Funktioniert perfekt ohne auch nur einen Aussetzer jemals. Benutze den Adapter schon seit ein paar Monaten. Keine Probleme. Ton ist auch genau wie vorher.
