Fun Digimon device!
The media could not be loaded. I have been a huge fan of Digimon since their digital pet came out and also watched the anime growing up. This is probably my favorite rendition of Digimon yet and I do prefer this to the BE. Add a watch adapter and custom strap and it's classy enough to take to pretty chocolate shops!Everything included to start you off, including a Dim card, but you'll definitely want to buy more especially if you have favorite Digimon on other Dim cards. To make the bracelet even better, I ordered a custom watch adapter that fits 20mm watch straps. This was a must because having two little kids to carry and chase after, the bracelet kept falling off. With a proper watch strap, it doesn't fall off my arm anymore & I can always easily swap them out to match my outfits. My kids love it too and has been a great way to introduce Digimon to them while getting them to be more active with me by doing missions & watching them Digivolve! At the moment (August 2024), Vital Bracelet is out of production, but lots of overstock is being sold. It's a great deal to get the watches for $15 or less when bundled with a Dim card. Some Dim cards sets are being sold for less than $10, making it come out to $3-5 per Dim card. On average you can spend $10 for common Dims and up to $15-30+ for uncommon. Rare Dims can be $40-100+ due to scalpers.Just note, the Vital Bracelet online app is slowly starting to end support around September 2024, but the Vital Hero bracelet can still be played without the online app.Tldr; 10/10. Highly recommend. Better with a watch adapter and strap. Get Dims now while they're cheap since this product is out of production.

Not bad
I enjoy this little digivice. Using activity to raise a Digimon is really more difficult than it sounds, but it will get you more active. I've had it long enough to digivolve a mega, and the only thing that really bothers me is it's construction. It feels flimsy, and because it sticks out so far, off your wrist, it likes to hit things like door jams and chairs. It scratches pretty easy, and I still haven't been able to link with the app. But, it's still raising a digimon, and in many ways it's much more personal than the keychains or other digimon. My Kazuchimon is raw. Literally the only reason I give this 4 stars is it's construction. Not water proof or anything fancy, but it is a fun way to raise digis. 1 month update: I've raised 4 digis so far. The face easily scratches so if you can spring for a screen protector, I would.

This is an excellent item for both Digi-nerds past, present, and future.
I'm the proud owner of not one but three Vital Hero bracelets. I've been a Digimon Fan ever since watching the first season of the anime all the way back in 1997 at the humble age of four years old. As much as I love the Vital Hero and the effort your company is making to bring Digimon back into Western countries, I understand that there's an upgraded version of the original Vital Bracelet product known as the Vital Bracelet BE. As a user of the Vital Arena App, I understand that there is currently any event underway known as Fourth Battle which is based around the online novel, Digimon Seekers. I'd love to participate, but Vital Hero users like myself are left in a very awkward position. That being said, I wish to help out in anyway I can to help promote Digimon products throughout the United States and beyond. There are many over here like myself who want to introduce the franchise to a new generation of eager young Digimon enthusiast, but we don't have the means to update the products directly from Japan. Having said all of this, I humbly request more Digimon Products being officially released into all over the world, especially the VBBE, so that my younger relatives and possible future children can know the joy and wonder of raising their very own virtual pet as I did so many years ago.Thank you for your time,Dennis J. It's a toy and it has issues.
If you don't have NFC on your phone you're losing a large portion of the features:- Can only store 2 Digimon- Can't take special exercise quests from the app- Can't see detailed stats from watch- Can't use the profile level up & store items feature- Probably more I don't know about since I can't use itI've read online that NFC phone adapters do not work either.Okay now that's out of the way let's talk about the watch. The step counter is way too sensitive. It picks up every little arm movement as 1-2 steps. I get 3,000 steps just sitting at PC all day. This is a core part of the game along with the heart rate sensor which is a little more accurate but still not great. So it's really bad at tracking your physical activity. This device is mostly just a toy. It's also NOT waterproof. Be very careful when washing your hands.I would have liked to have the weekdays displayed on the homescreen but it's just your Digimon, the time and your "vitals" (workout points or digimon life points I guess) & steps.Build quality is not great, it easily scratches, the strap is not a real strap it just pops on & the buttons on the side rattle when you move.Dim cards are how you load Digimon onto the watch, which are about 5-20$ each and have maybe 15 total evolutions depending on how active you and how many battles you win.Battles occur when your watch scans NFC such as credit card reading machines, phones have it for quick pay, Nintendo switch and 3DS have it for amibos. I wish they went with bluetooth though. It's far more common and you'd get more battles in.Battles are very simple, a couple animations and a life bar and it's stats like HP and Attack and some random luck. Now then, is this device good for staying active and fit? It's okay. It's more of a game than a serious work out. Daily you can do 4 work outs: sit ups, punches, squats, running - for 20 seconds each. Doing these gives your Digimon trophies for evolution into better or different Digimons. Also the vital points and the passage of time comes into play for this.Final thoughts:It's a toy, a game. It's not great quality. It has flaws. It should have been bluetooth and not NFC. Collecting the DIM cards can be fun. However if you like Digimon or Virtual Pets or need help getting off your butt just a little bit each day this is an okay purchase for $50-60. I wouldn't pay more.
