First of all, there is one comment on here by Reinpro (https://www.amazon.com/gp/profile/amzn1.account.AGRX6YPLIFWHAHAYNNUYEJP4XREQ/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_gw_tr?ie=UTF8) that says this does not work on [several cameras] and I am convinced the reviewer is a competitor, since I bought one AFTER reading his review and when I received it, I plugged it in right away.It works perfectly.In addition to still photos, I use my Canon T3i as a webcam and also a video camera, which allows me to use different lenses for nice lighting and bokeh effects, plus monochrome, sepia, etc. This $13 (at the time of this writing), simple add-on lets me shoot with [converted] AC power so the camera never runs out of power. I set the Auto Power Off setting to "Off" (meaning it cannot turn the camera off except manually), and it stays on "forever." That setting is currently the top item in the first yellow, tool icon menu in the setting Menu (same page as Format).This could not be simpler.You don't even need to remove the battery door. I am a video teacher and needed a power converter/adaptor for a Canon T5i that I have mounted in the ceiling of my classroom for doing floor animations. I needed to be able to have continuous power to the camera that is controlled by connecting the camera to installed software on my laptop. This way, I don't have to climb up on ladders to reach the 12 foot high mounted camera whenever I need to use it. I just plug a USB extension cable connected to the camera into my laptop and it turns the camera on and off. No need to mess each time with supplying power to the camera. This converter/adaptor is working perfectly, providing the power when needed, and shutting off when needed.

This fits right into the battery compartment of the camera, and allows you to plug the camera into an AC outlet. Paired with the Canon EOS Webcam Utility, my old T4i is now subjecting colleagues in virtual meetings to the unfortunate reality of a clear image of my face. This adapter is enabling the setup by allowing me to never change a battery or worry about losing my video feed thanks a battery being depleted--to the chagrin of my audience.

Used this to power my Canon T2i as a webcam for video meetings. Worked flawlessly for about 1.5 years, but is no longer working. I tested the voltage which is showing correct, but when the load of the camera is applied it does not turn on. The camera is still working fine with batteries leading my to believe the power supply is dead. This costs about 1/3 of the Canon official part and is still worth it.

It does exactly what it's meant to do. We decided to switch to the DSLR for our weekly live podcast video streams on YouTube and needed to keep it powered on for two hours at a time. This worked perfectly to make that happen. Definitely recommend if you're looking to shoot for long periods without having to swap batteries constantly.

Ever have that issue you are filming and BAM battery dies, right in the middle of a shoot. Swap it out and have to re-shoot the scene. Never have to worry if you have a few Coupler AC Power Adapter Supply kits. The dummy battery goes into the battery port, and you never have to worry about your shoots getting interrupted by a dead battery.

Well it took me a minute to finally get around to using this thing well past the 30 day return. I was filming something last night that needed an extended time to be done and figured I could use my adapter that I bought months back plugged it in and nothing does not work at all so I was stuck with waiting until the battery is charged so I could just put the batteries back in the camera and use it again this thing does not work at all a complete waste of money do not buy

This AC adapter arrived earlier than expected and fit the Cannon Ti5 camera correctly. Since the old batteries will no longer hold a charge, the adapter has made the camera functional by converting it into a high-quality webcam. Rechargeable batteries were also purchased for mobile camera usage.
