Thank you! Review: Great product but, c'mon. NO PAPERWORK AT ALL? - I couldn't be happier with my 5 string Jazz Bass now that I installed this loaded control plate. The bass sounds superb now. Just awesome. The microswitch was unexpected but really made it all even more worth it. Now I can go active or passive. I'm stoked. Next time include a wiring diagram? Review: Didn’t work out of the box no diagram - Wires were broken upon arrival and pots aren’t labeled nor is there a wiring diagram. Useless purchase.

Decent sound. Did a few tweaks to mine and put it in a Thunderbird clone.
For what you pay for the Saphue harness, you get a pretty good value. I have used their products in the past, (pickups) and have had a good experience with them. By default, you have 5 pots. This is good to just stick in and hook up pickups to if you don't intend to do any modifications. However, I had different plans for mine. I took two push-pull 500k pots, changed out the volume knob with one, and then proceeded to add a passive tone to the wiring when I have the passive wiring bypass engaged. To do so, you'd follow an active/passive on off switch diagram, but you add your tone pot to the jumper wire on the two posts that are engaged when the push/pull is in the off position. I only intend to use passive wiring in a dead battery emergency, so for the majority of use, I still use the active circuitry. I'm sure with further tinkering, a battery cutoff could be added, but my control cavity was very limited to begin with. I couldn't even rig up the battery box how I wanted to because of the minimal space in the cavity. As for the harness, before I switched out the pots, the stock stuff had good clarity, minimal scratchiness, but still a little bit present. For the price I gave, ~16 bucks, this is worth trying if you need to replace your harness with 3 band eq.

Eh. It's ok at best.
After chasing where the bad connections were and eventually resoldering all the wires, it finally works but it doesn't sound that great. Its a bit of a cliche but, you get what you pay for.

Find your own wire diagram before purchasing
Like other reviews state, this item works. However before purchasing I suggest you carefully find the wire diagram you need. Because you will get no information with this product. Otherwise, once I fashioned everything together, the bass sounds great!

This item is not good
Hello. I ordered this item and it doesn’t work. It distorts, the treble and mid doesn’t work, and it’s supper low in volume. Terrible purchase. Never buying this again. I waited weeks for nothing. Truly disappointed with this item…

Works great
Great EQ, good tone shaping. Works well. I used a 19v power supply (instead of 12v rated) and the output increased substantially. One downside is the wiring is soldered in a fragile way, wires are almost guaranteed to come off and need to be re soldered. And the phono Jack is crappy don’t use in an instrument!

I've installed a number of different looms over the years and this one is well worth the money. For such a low price there are clearly audible bad and treble adjustment. Mid range is less predominant but dependant on pick up location and type you can still hear noticeable change. Agree with others that a diagram works be helpful. I've included here the closest I can find to the way in which the pickups are connected. Equally if you want to make an active passive switch this appears to be possible. I've not yet tried this however.
