Great food presentation..
Arrived on time and as described. I've used this before in Germany and I love it! It makes good cuts to decorate your food. But it takes some getting used to, to make the waffle cuts. It doesn't cut too well with the white sweet potatoes. Maybe cos it's a dry vegetable and a bit thicker??? I don't know. I cut some but it was difficult. And a lot came out in shreds. it works really good on softer vegetables and carrots are ok. But it makes a nice change to your dining presentation none the less. I love it and will continue to use it. Highly recommend! Update: 24 August 2017- I just used this again. And this time I used regular red potatoes. And it worked excellent. I made the waffle cut in them. It took me a while to get it right, but I got the hang of it now. And I'll be using this more often. I watched the videos over and over on you tube before trying it. And it worked much better using the Börner finger safety guard than that other cheap one I had. I love my Börner items! My potatoes were cut in even slices and it was really easy and fast. I peeled the potatoes, washed them several times and cut them. It took me about a total of 8 minutes max. But it was only 2 extra larger than normal red potatoes equal to about 5 small ones. I'll have to try this again on sweet potatoes. For some reason I can't get it on white sweet potatoes. I know the white sweet potatoes are dry. So I was wondering if the lack of water in a particular fruit or vegetable had anything to do with it?? And I haven't tried it on yams yet. I'll have to do those next. But I have done carrots and zucchini and those come out ok. I'm going to buy a bunch of fruit and vegetables and cut everything in waves and waffle cut from now on. I saw the apples done in the video I was looking at. Now That looks good! Update: 31 August 2017- today I bought some baby gold potatoes. I'm going to try the wave cut on those. I hope they come out good. I'll update this again.

CAUTION: Dangerous Item Without The Holding Tool
FIRST THE BAD: Besides cooking, I am also a woodworker, and am very much aware of how quickly a distraction can cause a quick cut from a sharp blade: Have seen friends do just that and lose fingers. I have the Borner Mandolin set which came with the safety handle. This unit should not be sold without one, period: Just my two cents of safety warning. THE GOOD: If you happen to have the mandolin set or have ordered the safe food handle then this is a great tool. The blade, as mentioned, is very very sharp. Nice addition to the Mandolin set. Would be nice to be able to attach it to the mandolin base with the other blades. I made a cardboard sleeve to store it in so that my wife will not slice a finger tip while looking through my gadget drawer.

It works very well.
It is sharp. Cuts well. Makes waffle fries exactly as described, quickly and easily. I was nervous about it not having feet or a stand to prop it up at an angle, but holding it by the handle and slicing away from you works extremely well. It is easy to clean. Makes perfect waffle fries. Downside: it does NOT include the hand protector that is pictured. It includes ONLY the slicer. I think it is overpriced for what you get, but if you are determined to have perfect and easy waffle fries, this does it. The plastic depth adjuster seems a bit flimsy, and it might not hold up for years of use. But for right now, I'm happy with it. I got a pair of those no-cut gloves to protect my fingers. And as long as it holds up for a good long while, I'll continue to be pleased with this product. If the pictured hand protector had been included, I would have given it 5 stars.

A MUST HAVE !
My 1st time making waffle fries ! Very easy to use, make great waffle fries, wavy sliced 🥔 potatoes, easy to adjust, does not come with a food safty holder to protect your hand when slicing, very sharp medal blade !, be careful, large size, durable plastic

Doesn’t have all the pieces you will need to use it right away.
If you want to get started right away, you cannot because it doesn’t come with a food safety guard which could cost you same as the mandolin cost! It does not mention this anywhere that it doesn’t come with the safety guard

Makes great waffle chips. But I would definitely recommend getting the food safety holder - helps you cut the waffles quicker as it’s quite lethal with bare fingers!!
