L'Oreal Quick Blue Powder Bleach, 1 oz (Pack of 2)

I am not normally one to take time to write a review, but this time it’s worth it. I’ve been doing my own hair for years and had a spat with a couple different brands of bleach that wouldn’t even lift my roots. I did a lot of research before buying a new brand and I’m so glad I decided on this one. I got an even lift all the way to the root, AND this is the first bleach I’ve ever used that’s left my hair feeling healthy!! If you’re looking for a cheap, OTC powder bleach, this is the one! (I paired with the L’Oreal 20vol developer)

Very easy to use, definitely lightened my hair!

twice as much as what i’d normally pay per packet. I usually pay $2.49 per packet at my local beauty store one block down the road but sadly since everything is indefinitely closed right now, this was my only option since i’m not able to drive. I have dark brown roots naturally but i’m bleached platinum blonde currently and this is the only bleach i will use on my hair when doing my roots. i leave it on for about an hour and it gets my dark dark hair to ALMOST pale banana. so unless i do it twice which sometimes i will do, it’s a tad darker of a blonde mixed with platinum but honestly i love it. In highschool i fried my hair off and for 6 years i tried to go blonde but never knew how to do it. Once i decided “ok, i’m just going for it” again now as an adult with some common sense and patients lol i used this bleach and my hair hasn’t fallen out, fried off etc etc. Now i only wash my hair once a week, i don’t use any heat tools and i let it dry naturally 100% of the time. i often use head wraps or dutch braid for curls so that probably contributes to the lack of damage. Just use common sense when bleaching, don’t overlap since bleach expands, do your roots last if doing your whole head or just straight on your scalp for roots and you’ll be fine.

i've used this bleach since middle school, a long time, and it's always worked super well and been a great consistency for ease of application, and one of the fastest lifts i've ever seen, but RECENTLY not at all, the product clumps up into dry hard to use balls almost instantly and doesn't lift as much as i remember, even though i had light brown virgin hair this time, plus two packets was not even close to enough for just my roots, i needed 6 total to even do half my head, and bought a lb of a different brand for the other side after this mess

Something to know about bleach in general; if you aren't a professional or have experience, it's not something to play with. What I mean is, it's not difficult to follow mixing instructions and application process but there is no one size fits all with bleach. The volume of developer - depends on your current color and condition of your hair. How long to leave it on?? #1 question. The answer, put simply is: it depends. That's why it shouldn't be used unless you know that you're doing. Especially if you have previously bleached/colored hair. Overlapping can cause hair breakage real quick. If nothing else PLEASE watch at least 5-10 YouTube videos by professional hairstylists before trying the first time. This is a great bleach to be sure, there may be better. Again,it depends. I used this with level 30 Wella developer and I processed it for the max time for virgin hair (50 min, the brown is my natural color) and it lifted great! I put coconut oil in the night before and slept with my hair wrapped up, then applied the bleach directly on without washing. A little yellow as to be expected, but impressive for how dark it was. I'm going over it with a green semi permanent and there's very little orange, so there's no need for me to tone- but if you're going for a purple/pink or a pastel shade you'll definitely want to pick up a blue or purple based toner to use afterward. Only used about half a packet for my bangs/side pieces and my ends, but I would definitely need both packets if I was doing my whole head. Be safe with bleach! Make sure you know how to use it, read the package directions, and research what kind of developer is best for your hair and desired results before you go all in.

Mixed this with 20 vol developer on virgin black/brown hair for 20 minutes, and it came out a brassy blonde that actually kind of looked nice. I washed and reapplied for another 15 minutes, but it didn't really lighten too much; overall, awesome. I was able to dye my hair green and it looks super cool.

Clear instructions on back Small packages were very convenient as I wasn’t quite ready to take the plunge and buy a whole bucket of bleach ... I think that will be my next step!

i had box dyed black hair for 3 years and i used this twice on my hair and it lightened enough to put red colour on top! it worked great highly recommend
