Definitely helps for teeth grinding
My husband was told by the dentist that he grinds his teeth. We purchased this to wear at night and he said it helps tremendously. He recently had a partial root canal which was still bothering him. Ever since wearing this at night he said his tooth does not hurt! Follow the directions on how to shape it to your mouth and you’ll be good to go!

Absolutely the BEST mouth guard ever!!!!!
I have tried several brands of mouth guards and this one is by far the BEST ever! Other brands were made from hard plastic and never conformed to the shape of my teeth. This brand is smooth with no rough edges and fits perfectly to my front teeth. This removes all the pressure from my back teeth and eliminates all the pain. The trick is to FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY. I heated a large volume of water in a metal pot to a hard rolling boil. Then I inserted the mouth guard into the water for a full 60 seconds sweeping the guard back and forth as if i were making a cup of tea with my tea bag. I had to wear a glove as the steam from the hot water was burning my fingers. After 60 seconds, the plastic gets very very soft and is easily molded to the shape of my teeth. The fit is perfect, slips on easily and never slides off during the night while I sleep. This is a GREAT mouth guard that exceeds the quality of every other brand I have tried.

Save yourself a lot of pain if you have an overbite!
My dentist really wanted me to use this to keep my back teeth from grinding as they are becoming loose. First one I tried I apparently got it too far back (I do have an overbite so that was probably most natural for me). It rubbed against the bump like thing on the roof of my mouth - it’s not flat on one side. I nearly was in tears putting it in night after night because I was so tender there. So I go visit my dentist to find out what it is that’s going on. He stated I pushed it too far back when forming it to my teeth. It should be farther out.I use the second one, but it folds down during the warming stage in the hot water. I buy a second box. I get it positioned more forward. It seems to fit so I use it night after night. When I take it out in the morning it feels like my jaw “adjusts” and feels “off” for a bit. My jaw is increasingly tender and painful and starts clicking and then starts locking in place and it’s hard to talk and eat without pain and my jaw locking up on me. I return to my dentist who says it is fit appropriately and continue to use and see a chiropractor for my jaw pain.I go to the chiropractor who, even on first adjustment brings some relief. I continue to use the thing at night. I feel my jaw moving every morning. I speak to the chiropractor about my feelings that this is affecting my overbite and holding my jaw in a position that is not natural for it. I tell him I’m going to stop using it. The adjustment goes well though I’m still in quite a bit of pain. I don’t return to the dentist yet because I have a follow up in 2 weeks. I eat only soft foods as chewing is very painful. I talk as little as possible.Next adjustment chiropractor agreed with me that the piece must be affecting my jaw as my mouth position seems much, much better and it took very little adjustment to get it where it needs to be. Now he says wait several days for the next adjustment to give your jaw some time. The first two days after that I thought he was crazy as it was a little better, but still locking up and painful to eat and talk. Another day after that it feels much better. It’s not automatically locking up or clicking as I speak or chew. The pain level has decreased a lot. I’m much more comfortable even though I’m not back to normal. Still not wearing this thing at night now. That’s where I am so far. Chiropractor and dentist appointments are in two days. I plan to talk to my dentist about what this seemed to do with my jaw and my overbite and the extremity of my pain and difficulty in eating even soft foods. I’m still on soft foods right now as too much chewing/biting down is difficult and results in locking up and pain.I’m positive my theory is right. I will update this review after my next appointments and hopefully confirmation of my theory, but my belief is this was the cause of much pain, discomfort and malfunctioning of my jaw. I was a little bit in discomfort before use of this just because I grind my teeth so hard at night but had no feeling of incorrect positioning of my jaw, locking up, grinding sounds, clicking and inability to eat or speak. If you have an overbite very carefully consider your decision to purchase and use this product! I feel it is impossible to fit correctly as your jaw has to move forward to bite it in place on your front teeth to mold it to them to keep it in place as it needs to be.I now have many hours of appointments and dollars as well trying to fix this issue with my jaw. Not to mention two boxes of these things to get it “right.” These weren’t issues before I used this. Perhaps my overbite is more extreme than others? I did see references to overbite in questions and responses that oh yes this is designed for all (I’m summarizing here and I can’t recall the exact wording)…I specifically went searching for questions and reviews related to overbite once I started suspecting it was causing this. Perhaps my dentist is wrong about the placement. Who knows? I will never wear it again though.

Better than the full mouth guard
Way better than the full mouth guard. My only problem is that they advertise the one I brought as having 9 pieces. They’re counting the cleaning solution as a piece. I could’ve saved myself $12 False advertising in my opinion.

So bulky
I should have listened to the other reviews. I love the idea of a front teeth only guard, but this is SO incredibly bulky - bad design. I cannot even close my lips (with a relaxed mouth) with it on my teeth. Also wasn't the easiest to mold, had to remold it and it still slides off pretty easily. Not that I will be wearing it because I can't close my mouth with it in.

BEST NIGHTGUARD. Stop your search this is the one.
This is the best nightguard for clenching I have found. I have tried the expensive one from the dentist and all the other ones before finding this. My clenching and grinding is pretty bad and I had the headaches, the toothaches, teeth damage, and jaw stiffness. Sleep was a challenge. This guard literally does not allow your teeth to meet so you can't cause teeth damage. It also works great with my retainer, so I didn't do the molding stage. I just popped it in and went to bed. The tongue guard is amazing, helps keep the guard in place all night, and my tongue does not get sore from sharp plastic edges like other guards I have gotten in the past. The only downside is that you can't talk with it in but this is minor as you just need to pop it in right before bed and take it out first thing. I highly recommend this guard for anyone that is suffering as much as I was.

Clenching jaw became worse
I had a similar hard plastic guard from my dentist but refused to pay $250 for a replacement after it snapped in two. I was really hoping this would work, however it didn't. My first issue was how you mold this to your teeth. I followed the directions to the letter, and wound up with a perfect fit and a blister above my front teeth from it being too hot. I then had to wait for the blister to heal. Maybe it's the way I grind my teeth (side to side) but because of the slight give I woke up with tmj, from clenching my jaw so hard, after the second night. After a week I decided to give it another try. Another fail. I'm guessing it aggravated me enough... in my sleep, I pulled it out and tossed it to the floor.I'm happy for anyone who had a positive experience. Migraines and tmj are horrible to deal with, but between being burned and then tmj starting up again, only after using this a few nights, I sadly can't recommend this.
