Both the OZONE-PRODUCING UVC bulb, and the Ozone-FREE bulb work well and as expected.
This review is for both the Ozone-producing and Ozone-free 36 Watt UV Sanitizer Lamps with Remote Control, Powerful UVC Light with E26 Base. I use both the Ozone-free and Ozone-producing bulbs for different purposes in different homes. The ozone-producing unit was purchased for a musty smell in a river-front home. That ozone-producing UVC lamp was purchased in May 2023. It is used at least once per week. Its bulb is still working. That bulb generated the advertised ozone. The combination of UVC light and ozone works well to disable dust mites and mildew and other substances. It leaves a fresh scent in the home, eliminating the musty odor temporarily. The second Ozone-FREE lamp was recently purchased in May 2025. I use the ozone free lamp only to disable Dust mites rather than to eliminate a mildew odor. So far it is working well. According to my research, UVC light both Ozone-producing and the Ozone-free type, after use for about an hour, will sometimes initially leave a slight, burnt smell behind. To me, it indicates the lamp is doing its job. The burnt odor is generated by the UVC light breaking down organic matter in the air, such as matter found in dust, dead skin cells, mold, etc. The breakdown of organic matter releases sulfur-containing molecules called thiols. These molecules have a low detection threshold for humans. This burnt odor often goes away with weekly use of the product, in my experience, because less organic matter is being broken down. Regarding the ozone FREE bulb: I did not detect a noticeable ozone odor from the UVC bulb that was sold as OZONE FREE, only initially the burnt odor. It works at about 254.7nms wavelength. Regarding the bulb sold as an OZONE PRODUCING bulb: IT does produce a strong ozone odor. It works at a wavelength of about 185nms. After the lamp is turned off and the room air is cleared, it leaves behind a fresh scent as the ozone dissipates. That Ozone producing bulb also initially left behind a slight burnt odor. That odor also dissipates with frequent use of the product.

Ease of use and effective.
This device was very easy to understand and use. Small enough to get into small spaces like a shower stall (dry of course). Its was priced very well.

The non-ozone bulb lights and emits an odor, but does it kill germs? I don't know.
I have used this lamp several times but I am still not sure how I feel about it. Does it actually kill germs or does it just emit an odor? If the latter, an air freshener would smell better. I bought the non-ozone version because I was concerned about the environment and, most of us, the health of my family and pets. After the first use, I now open and window and/or use a fan while it's on and continue to air out the room after it is off. But does it actually kill germs? Hard to say. The description says it is for "mold removal." Perhaps it kills the growth of additional mold but it definitely does NOT remove it. I tested it out in a shower that has mold along a bead of caulking. After a 20-minute, 60-minute and 90-minute session of it inside my shower, the mold looks just like it did before. The first time I used it, I tried the timer but it did not shut off on its own. Perhaps I did something wrong? The next few times I've used it, I just turn it on and off with the remote. If the remote breaks or gets lost, I'd be hesitant to use it. If I don't look at the bulb, a few seconds probably won't hurt but I don't want to test my luck, and I don't want to go back into the room with closed eyes and try to feel my way to turn it off. The light did come with a cheapie pair of yellow lens glasses but I won't count on them to keep my eyes safe. They are the same pale yellow as the blue-light reading glasses I got for using my tablet at night. I have seen other glasses on Amazon with lenses that look more orange that I'd rather use instead. I plan to continue using it every few days throughout the house in hopes that over time it will decrease the mild doggy-body odor that sometimes lingers from my pooches, though I'm not expecting miracles. To be honest, even after several uses, I can't say whether it does or does not kill germs or remove odors. But it definitely does not remove mold.

Everything looks good
Have no clue if this UV light is working for what it is intended for, but it arrived quickly, works immediately from being plugged in, the 4 lights arrived unbroken and fit into plug properly. My only "concern" -- and it's not really something bad, is when I use the remote to start it and push the time I want the light(s) to stay on, it just stays on and doesn't go out at all. I may be doing something wrong, but it's no big deal. Very bright, easy to use, came with yellow eye glasses, remote and extra battery for remote. Have used it several times in different rooms and back porch, so longevity seems good. Have no idea what other "like" items do, but I basically bought this at the best price and the best reviews I read.

Great product
I highly recommend this product. I was not aware that dust mites were causing me to snore and be congested. I had the lamp on for an hour and once I entered my bedroom, it smelled as something was burning. I realized I had a lot of dust mites that were killed. Follow the instructions because it goes step by step what to do. Also remember to air out the room for about an hour to remove the burnt scent of the dust mites

Great Product
I have to assume it is doing as it's advertised to do. I'm not a scientist with a laboratory to confirm it but there's no reason to think it doesn't do as advertised. The specs show it will do what you want it to do.

Low quality product, didn’t perform as advertised
Worked only twice, bulb stopped working, remote control was barely responsive after first use. Seemed like a low quality product, didn’t affect the mold at all. I’m going back to a 10% vinegar mix on non-porous surfaces (I.e. bathroom drywall) and a scrub brush.

May have a negative effect on the air
It does something to the air that does not seem good. It leaves a burnt smell also. You are also warned about airing the room out after you use it and I'm not sure that that does any good
