Great For Kid’s Play Area + Easy to Clean!
We recently transformed our basement into a play area for the kids. Concrete is cold and uninviting so we got these mats for the floor. I saw some in Home Depot but they were more expensive and not to mention a lot thinner. My wife told me to check out Amazon instead and that’s where I came across these. You get more bang for your buck and they’re thicker. We got several packs in blue and it definitely livens things up. It’s very easy to set up, you just fit all the pieces together. There were a few corners that had to be trimmed but that wasn’t a big deal at all. We got the entire floor done in less than 30 minutes. All in all, a very good product. It does get dirty though and since our son likes sitting and playing on the floor, we make an effort to clean the mats regularly. We usually start by vacuuming the area, then we use a cleaner. We have a mop with a microfiber pad and that works great at accumulating all the gunk. The head swivels too so we can easily clean the corners and edges. It depends on our schedule but we usually mop it with cleaner every 2-3 days. Sometimes, if there’s just a small mess we’ll use plain water. Pros: 1) The foam mats don’t have any noticeable smell even when you take it out of the packaging. It was something that we were worried about at first but now it seems like that was unnecessary. 2) You can trim the mats easily with a pair of scissors. That’s what we did near the door since it needed a gap in order to close. You can probably also use a utility knife or something similar…the foam material isn’t that hard to cut through at all. 3) I kind of mentioned this earlier but these mats are much more affordable than what you can find in stores. We spent less than $50 for the basement area and that’s a deal. 4) They serve as a great insulator. Our son likes to run around and jump and these mats do a great job of absorbing it all. I’m so glad I didn’t go with the thinner ones from Home Depot. 5) We didn’t do this but you can easily create a checkered pattern if you purchase the mat in two colors. 6) The foam mats are very soft and comfortable to walk and play on. Cons: 1) The mats kind of get slippery if you’re wearing socks so we always tell our son to take them off before playing. Better safe than be sorry… 2) You have to play with the foam pieces a bit to line them up exactly the way you want for edges. 3) Sometimes the pieces will come apart when our son is running up and down. He actually fell down once beacuse of that but luckily he took it with stride. Now we always make sure to watch him when he’s playing. 4) There was a layer of dust/debris on the foam mats out of the packaging so we had to wipe them all down with a bit of water and soap before putting them together. I would recommend that you do the same.

BalanceFrom Puzzle Exercise Mat - Check Out My Bedside Workout Area!
I received my exercise mat today and I just had to review this amazing product. I just finished setting it up as a "Bedside Workout Area". Every morning when I wake up from bed, my first steps are going to be on this mat. I was worried at first, since some of the reviewers stated they received pieces that didn't fit together, but they must have not took the time to re-arrange to borders, because my 6 tiles and the border pieces all fit together perfectly; like a perfect puzzle piece. This product looks exactly like the item in the photo and it comes with two extra border pieces in case you want to do an L-shape in the corner of a wall or something. The material is very durable, I got black color and 3/4" thick and it's thick and tough yet provides good cushion, I love doing my warm-up jumping jacks on this mat. It doesn't skid around like those low quality mats, it actually stays in place well. If you're looking for general exercise mat, this product is very great quality, and the price is very reasonable. I am definitely buying another set for my girlfriend to do her Yoga. I also plan to buy another set for the kitchen to act as an anti-fatigue mat when my girlfriend and I are cooking meals together. Thank you to BalanceFrom for selling such an High-Quality Exercise Mat. Very satisfied with my new exercise mat. Yes!!!

Good for home gym
These mats serve their purpose and were good enough for what I needed them for. My parents actually have the same ones in their home gym and have had them for about three years with moderate use, and they’ve held up well. They interlock nicely, were extremely easy to put together and are a fair quality. They are not extremely heavy duty, more like a thicker foam, but they are still durable enough for a typical home gym setup. I also appreciated the size, I got the 96sqft coverage .8 thickness it came with 24 squares. I used all 24 to cover my small home gym area. One thing to be mindful of is if you are installing them in an unfinished basement or a new build. I would recommend making sure the floor has been thoroughly swept and mopped first. The mats are black and tend to hold onto dust, so you will notice footprints easily if dust gets tracked onto them.

Exceptional support - wonderful product.
This BalanceForm Puzzle Exercise Mat is wonderful. Since the CV19 quarantine our group workout classes have become Zoom classes. I have flat, over pronating feet. Our flooring was problematic and my chronic tendinitis in my feet was flaring up. Additionally my regular sized yoga mat had potential that I might fall during movement due to tripping. I studied for options to purchase and found the BalanceForm. I have the 4 by 6. It is perfect for multiple class types- Yoga, Barre, Zumba, Cardio. It was easy to assemble, easy to clean, and easy to move around from one area to another. I am extremely happy with it and my feet more happy. I am hopeful to purchase 3 more blocks so as to expand my area to 6 by 6. I would like to purchase their yoga mat too. It is a terrific option for a home gym. I felt it was reasonable priced. I highly recommend the BalanceForm Puzzle Exercise Mat.

Protects Floor
This BalanceFrom mat is easy to install and is great for a home gym. The tiles lock together, leaving no seams to trip over. The mat does not quickly absorb liquids and cleans easily with a damp cloth. My treadmill and bike sink into the foam slightly, but I have not noticed any imbalance in the equipment. The mats have worked great for doing floor exercises, soft to ease impact strikes but firm to allow for balance while doing lunges. The foam was placed on the carpet, and I noticed no damage.

Good home gym investment
I ordered the 3/4” thick 96 square feet tiles and they didn’t disappoint. Perfect interlocking puzzle piece style tiles that sit flush with each other, and plenty of border pieces to make it look even nicer. I’ve set up a full power rack on top of the flooring as well as a weight tree, a commercial grade bench, and will also be setting up a dumbbell stand in the near future. The 3/4” thickness is perfect, plenty of bounce to protect the cement floor underneath when dropping heavy weight and rigid feeling enough under your feet at the same time. None of the tiles slide around or anything and I didn’t apply any anti-slip or adhesive on these, just installed straight on top of my swept garage floor. I’ll probably end up buying more of the same size to extend my working area out and to have backups, just in case.

Functional, but be careful
Arrived ok and when I wanted it to. When I started piecing them together I wanted them to stay together and not move, so I used Gorilla tape attaching each piece to the other within that row. I also used Alien Tape in an attempt to secure it to the floor since I was putting them together on top of carpet. I don't know what it is, but there is some film on both sides of each piece that does not allow either to stick. If you know either of those tapes, you know they stick to everything very well, except this product. Perhaps by wiping them down with alcohol first would have worked? But that is in hindsight. I cut them along one edge to fit them all snugly in this room, and it works because they don't move. The nonmovement is not due to either tape because I can feel them lifting from the floor. Being that they have this film that doesn't alloy these two different very sticky tapes to stick, you can imagine how slippery they are if you're attempting to do certain exercises or some kind of athletic moves...you will bust your ass! About the only thing that doesn't slide on here is my fitness machine and the elliptical machine, probably due to the overall weight of each. Additionally when you put weights or something heavy on them it leaves a imprint. I put a chair on them to stand on to change a light bulb and was on it for less then 30 seconds. One of the attached pictures shows the damage left from the chair foot. These are 3/4" pieces and the cushion is good, but very slippery and items leave imprints that will not rebound. If you're ok with all that, then these will work for you. I'm pleased to the point that I won't replace them, I'm just careful not to bust my ass from sliding on them. I have a hard time saying I'd recommend them, but in the big picture of things, they are better then nothing for the price that will protect your equipment and your floor. I just wish I would have gotten them for the current sale price of $100, I bought them for $150. This package wasn't enough for my room, I needed to buy two more orders of 6 each packages. I even wiped these down with some Lysol wipes to try to make them less slippery, didn't work. Hope this info helps!
