Not an expert but I wanted a 1/4 male thread and a 3/8 female it might be my measuring I don’t know but returned the item as it was fit for purpose

A 1/4" BSPT Male to 1/4" BSPP Female adapter. No NPT thread.
A 1/4 inch NPT Male connector has a tapered thread with 18 threads per inch. The adapter sent however was 1/4 inch with a 19 threads per inch tapered thread, making it a BSPT Male (aka 1/4 R = Tapered ) to 1/4 G (aka BSPP Parallel) thread adapter. Both the male and female threads of the item sent were accurately measured with a thread gauge, so there was no ambiguity in the fact that this product is not as described. No threads on this adapter were NPT (American National Pipe Thread), so it is not suitable for the use described and would likely leak under hydraulic pressure.
