Well worth the money!
Before buying this A3 scanner I did a lot of research and also balked at some of the eye-watering prices they were being sold for! I finally decided I needed to buy one when I inherited all my late father's family tree 'doodles' on loads and loads of A3 sheets of paper. I also had some scrap-books of my wife’s school projects that needed to be preserved. Trying to scan and stich all these using my A4 scanner was daunting! After reading many, many reviews I decided upon this scanner because it had a CCD scanning head, which gives a better focus of uneven documents. A number of reviews complained about the build quality, colour rendition, and how noisy it was. It's none of these things, well maybe a bit noisy, but it’s fast, well-built, and gives very good quality scans. I love it!

Excellent Art Scanner
Worked straight out of the box, thought I might have issues with connection to my MacBook Air as had to use a third party USB-B to USB-C cable as MacBook only has USB-C connectors, no worries with that as connected seamlessly with no problem and produced an excellent A3 coloured pencil drawing scan at 600 DPI with my first attempt. Reproduction was impressive with excellent clarity and resolution, early days yet but so far very impressed with the Plustek A320E. Driver and software downloaded from Plustek rather than using the DVD provided.

Blurry and very bad scans. They’re lying with the resolution.
For the price, I wouldn’t even pay a tenner for this machine. My brothers cheap Espon is so much better. There is no clarity in the scan. It is so blurry, I bought it because I needed to scan embossed sheets with watermarks and authentication strips holograms etc because of CCD it has 3d scanning in theory but this machine was so bad.

I've had it for 6 months now, and have scanned 18 scrapbooks that my wife had made several years ago. Scans very fast, the software is very intuitive, and it's ability to scan books makes it a great tool. I have not required tech support for anything.

It might not be the quality of a scanner of $5000, but my scanned artwork came out as good as with my Epson PerfectionV600 photo, with the advantage that now I don't have to scan two halves and merge them after. I am very happy with this scanner. My scanned pictures are not for professional reproduction. I haven't tested to scan a photo, so I can't tell about that.

The first encounter with live chat was not helpful, nor was he pleasant. I could sense his lackadaisical attitude through his manner of text. I could literally picture him slouching over his laptop, with a dim light on. I disconnected the chat, and I am glad I did. 2nd time around. David guided me through the process of everything, he was patient, and helpful. A definite breath of fresh air, because he was knowledgeable and willing to share that knowledge with me. He calibrated my scanner, rebooted my OCR option, created a zipper folder for me, he patiently answered all of my layman's questions, slowly and methodically. Just as I required- at my less than base tech level- STELLLLLLLLAAAAR customer service and product knowledge. he needs to train people-No, seriously. He was that good. I have had this scanner for two years, and because of David, I can use it now. I will definitely buy from Plustek again. Simply from this experience.
