The most attractive feature for me was the USB. No need to wire it up to a USB-to-serial if you don't want to. Runs great on Win 11 with the Ublox U-Connect software. On my Linux machine, it shows up as /dev/ttyACM0. I can watch the GPS info scrolling by with this command: `(stty 9600 -echo -icrnl; cat) </dev/ttyACM0` I'm using it indoors, about a meter away from a window and getting several satellites. Accuracy seems good. If you want something easy, this is it. And at this price for two, you can give one to a friend.

GPS works but u-center but impossible to upgrade the GPS firmware to the latest revision (and I have not found anywhere to get firmware upgrade on that chinese brand) nor deactivate beidou satellites. You can turn off all the other ones but not beidou. For my arduino experimentation, it's fine and precision is there with external antenna.

Works very nicely as an ntp server on esp32 serving my offgrid cabin clocks and rpi’s. The 6M is pretty old stuff and not up to really precision timing but it’s good enough especially where internet is not available. A good ntp server is github “gps-ntp-eth-esp32” running on an esp32c3 Super Mini and one of these gps boards. Comment out all tft_espi references, the interrupt disable and enable calls, the PPS frequency. Change Serial2 to Serial1 and set its pin numbers (I use 1=txd 0=rxd). The tft_espi library does not work on c3 parts but I like them a lot and don’t have any displays handy anyway or any s2 mini’s for that matter. I ran the gps at its default 9600 baud with the PPS pin and it was stable. Then I upped the rate to 57k and disabled all the messages except RMC and GGA which contain the time data and spacecraft tracked respectively. Works a treat. A good ntp clock is github “tft_espi” and the example “Anti-aliased-clock” running on an esp32s2-mini (tft_espi does not work on the c3 part). I use that combination with Teyleten 1.28” round tft lcd displays to make miniature analog clocks. Add a voice JESSINIE 2Pcs DY-SV17F Voice Playback Module and a Gump's grocery 4pcs Micro Internal Magnetic Speaker to make it chime.
